This is an add-on mod for Endless Sky. It includes starships from the Clone Wars era. This mod will only be available on ModDB, therefore if it is found elsewhere it is not my creation.

With the recent addition of the ARC-170, all Republic Starfighters are completed for now. I will re-visit them to add more if any are suggested. These are the final ship designs:

Before moving on, I have a question. Should there be a player controlled version for each Starfighter?

I will check the comments in a few days time and add a new article showing the results.

I will now focus on the Republic Frigates and Corvettes. I have already found a selection of Frigates and over the next few days I will be working on them. Thank you for supporting the Republic Rising modification and may the force be with you.

Hey just wanted to say that I appreciate this mod even though it's probably abandoned 3 years later. Maybe I'm wrong though, but anyways, thanks for this. It's cool.

Funny you should mention this. I recently got back into modding and am planning to revive this 3 year old project. : )

The cluttered worlds is a bit of an issue, not a huge one but their placement could be better handled. Maybe dropping a worm hole somewhere in the main section of space, and then having the second drop you off in the star wars sectors?

Perhaps changing the droid starfighters to drones for a bit more flavor, rather than fighters?

Also, glaring issue. None of the star wars factions fight pirates in your areas, which is somewhat annoying whenever I jump in to a sector of space.

THe lack of descriptive text and whatnot is an issue, but presumably you waiting on that till after youve gotten the other bits of gameplay out?

Thanks for the in depth review. I hope to return to this mod in the future. The world is a total mess and fixing it will be extensive but possible. Hopefully, I can move the new planets into the empty space at the top of the galaxy.
Your starfighter suggestion is interesting and I will certainly look into it soon.
I haven't implemented Star Wars themed pirates into the game yet and I didn't program the current factions to fight the vanilla factions.
All descriptions are either basic or non-existent for now. As you correctly stated, I will be overhauling this as soon as the pirate and civilian ships are implemented and the planets have been moved.

Worthless. HUGE graphic bug on most ships with a fugly white line around the ships.

No idea how anyone could seriously upload this.

As uploader of the old graphics for the ships I too was unimpressed by the white lines around most of the ships. You can find an updated version of one of the ships in the images. I'm very sorry if this has upset you and I will be working on fixing these issues.

What's the point of the Hyperspace Ring? I didn't see the ability to hold fighters in its specs, which would have been useful if it worked mechanically in the game, so is there something I'm missing, or was it added for some other reason?

(Edit: I completely take this back, I finally saw the Fighter Bay on it. I don't see any way to remove this comment, though.)

(Edit 2: I will mention that in Star Wars canon the ARC-170 has its own hyperdrive, so would be an interceptor, not a fighter in Endless Sky.)

Thank you for your feedback. The ARC-170 has been a hot topic for some time as I could not decide if it should be classed as a fighter or, more accurately, an interceptor. I've added an extension file to provide interceptor alternative to all fighter including the ARC-170 in the downloads page if that helps.
