This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.

--- LAAT Gunship garrison added for Rebel and Republic starships as a garrison unit.
For in-atmosphere operations there are few gunships as effective as the LAAT, but in space it is but one among many.
Poorly shielded for space gunship standards, it is nontheless heavily armed with 2 AP-missile launchers, 3 laser turrets, and 4 beam cannon turrets.
In space, the LAATs beam cannons are vastly less effective, firing regular light laser projectiles at far closer range. Capable of engaging enemies from all sides, it is most effective in a dogfight, dispite its poor agility and shielding. While it can self-repair like all other gunships, it is a real glass cannon.
So far the LAAT is the only unit in the Rebel line-up to come with AP missiles. In combination with the PT-1 and its HE missiles, the Rebellion now has access to a great variety of weaponry early on that other factions lack.
All Acclamator variants have their garrisons replaced with LAATs.
All Venator variants have their Gozanti garrisons replaced with LAATs. The Imperial Venator (Buildable anywhere by the Empire) replaces its garrison from T1 to T2 with TIEs and a Gozanti still. The Warlords version of the Venator also comes with Gozantis.
The Assault Frigate MK 2 for the Rebellion now carries 1 Cutlass-9 (2), 1 ARC-170 (2), 1 LAAT (1). It's pop value has increased from 12 to 14, garrison refund has been increased to 4350, and regular upkeep has been removed. Its build cost remains 12K.
After its redesign, the AAF-2 in total is now far less tanky, it no longer fires missiles, but carries a strong garrison. Its garrison differs from the Quasars, with unique gunships for each.
Adjustments:
--- Basic Rebel Quasar now comes with 1 ARC-170 (2) and 1 PT-1 (1). Cost increased from 2900 to 3600, pop increased to 8, attrition refund cost adjusted.
--- Asteroid fields now have a 80% lower chance of inflicting damage.
--- Nebulon B Frigate now carries 1 Z-95 (0), pop value increased by 2. The Imperial Warlord Nebulon B carries TIE Fighters instead.
--- On the GC map, a Day is now renamed to a Month.
--- All web way versions now start with 40K credits for the Empire, 20K for the Underworld, 15K for the Rebels, and 15K for every minor faction.
--- Coruscant, Yavin and Bespin now count as Systems, with 1 additional ground and space slot, and slightly increased income.
Balance:
--- Surface to space weapons are now locked to tech 2.
--- All regular proton torpedoes (not heavies and not starfighter-based ones) are now properly as accurate as they should be.
Previously this caused torpedo volleys to miss far more often than they should.
--- The Golan 3 now properly fires heavy proton torpedoes, that have a tendency to miss. If they do not miss however, they deal tremendous damage.
--- AI combat power of starbases now more in line with their power.
--- Flak cannons of the Sabaoth now nerfed, by about 40% of their firepower.
--- Rebel X4 gunship now equipped with Heavy armor instead of Medium.
--- MC 80 WL cost increased from 12K to 14K.
--- MC 80 cost increased from 16K to 17,5K.
