This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.
Saced 6 ion cannons for 2 hangers. Though this makes it lose its uniqueness (battleship that doesn't spawn fighters) I found I really liked it more with fighter escort. It spawns no bombers, only TIE fighters. No interceptors. This gives it the charactaristic Imperial fighter swarm, while not being powerful enough to deal with sustained bomber attacks.
So yes it now has fighters, but it still needs additional anti fighter escorts ;) You didn't think I'd make a ship without downside right guys?

The ISD2 is closer to the camera. ISD's are 1600m long while the Allegiance is about 2200m long.
The ISD in the mod is the ISD class 2 which is an upgraded version and it is 1900 meters long but you are right the Allegiance is a bigger ship
I am curious if you intend to add more of Fractal Sponges ships into this mod. I know its complete and balanced, but ships like the Vindicator cruiser would make my day.
It'd have to replace the Gladiator since its role is light gunship (I wont have 2 of those), and just right now I really don't want to do that, since somewhere in the "near future"™ there might be a great model update for that.
That said, his Vindicator does look nice.

The Vindicator couldn't fill some sort of Light long-ranged role? Those 4 heavy turbos/ions on the front were designed for extreme ranges iirc
(Although it appears Fractal's model has made these some sort of antennae)

Very good move with that starfighters addon. My personal thought is that making ship of THAT size without ANY starfighters is a waste of resources. No regime would make such a design.
I always loved Allegiance visualization on Fractalsponge. But I think its uniqueness is not that it is battleship that doesn't spawn fighters but it's a little dreadnought with enough firepower to fight alone enemy fleets, but not as clumsy as 10+ km long "super star destroyers".
A manageable and cheap replacement for all those SSD line.
So there is no reason why it should not spawn interceptors or other better fighters as anti-starfighter cover.
Galactic-voyage.com has written characteristics of this ship, that I see well suited: Length: 2,200 Meters, 80 Heavy Turbolaser Batteries, 50 Heavy Turbolaser Cannons, 20 Warhead Launchers, 50 Ion Cannons, 15 Tractor Beam Projectors, Top Speed 70 MGLT, 48 Starfighters (compared to 72 TIE Fighters and 5 Assault Gunboats of IDS1).

There is a VERY GOOD reason to not have it spawn any fighters.
I suppose you're not familiar with how I set up my ships and how they all have unique roles, I suggest going back into the image archive and reading the comments and descriptions of my explenations of giving ships unique roles in the game.
I like the way you try to give all ships a very specific roles, but I think Allegiance is just a bigger, heavier ISD, besides its "command and communications" role (which does not occur in EAW).
I generally disregard non-fighter large starships as miss concept. If a ship has like 2000 meters length and a fighter has 10-15 meters length, there should be some little place for a few on these ships. It's rather obvious tactical advantage to have some fighters onboard (besides customs or patrol duties).
I am aware that Allegiance is being described as fighter-less ship because it lacked ventral hangar bays. I just question that idea, as no government would try to build such ship in the years of Shadow Hand Operation. This time starfighter-heavy fleets clear superiority over non starfighter fleets was unquestioned.
Some would say that Tectors were also hangarless. But Tector class ships were built during early days of Imperial era (late Republic) and never were numerous as their limited usefulness hampered their other capabilities.
So, I just don't think reborn Emperor could approve such a design.

Well this isn't really that big of a ship as far as the Empire is concerned. I agree with you that it is unique cause it has the firepower of a much larger ship and to achieve that it had to sacrifice in other areas like fighter storage. I think something like this would take part in a larger fleet action so not having fighters is acceptable. For a game though yeah not having fighters makes it harder to use. In some cases you'd be better off sending in an ISD thanks to the fighters.
Adding the hangar was my idea and yes, I'm also the guy who does the textures for these ships. :) You're welcome lol.
I always had the same thought that a ship of this class being the size that it is should have some kind of built in fighter escort but I didn't think adding in the typical ISD hangar to the bottom was the answer, so I instead came up with the idea to add them into the sides of the ship. The idea came from the ISD's in Star Wars Battlefront II and Jer pulled it of rather well. The textures on this thing were a pain as I have to draw all of those hull panels on by hand but it's well worth the time and effort for the final product he puts together!

The "Sith Destroyer" that's floating around in EVERY mod made for Empire at War EVER, is mine. It's rather sad how overused it is considering that it's supposed to be a Harrower class based on older concept art before they finished developing the design. It should rightfully be trashed and not used in anything.
I've also done retextures of Warb Null's ships here and there but as far as outside of EaW, no. Our work isn't spread around very much.

Arvis has already retextured most of the imperial vessels, his unique texture style fits the ships very well.
Yep. Most the the ISD skins and textures I see are just some random texture thrown over but the detail in RE is amazing. I lose most battles because I just sit and stare at the models. I have to say that my favorite ship from you however is the Harrower II. Just a menacing and sleek ship.
