Description
Special thanks to Dice.
I used their 3D scan as a reference.
I did not use any parts of their work.
Build up from scratch.
Render done in Cycles with some happy little Subsurface Scattering.
The Mesh currently sits at 200k polies.
This is the LoD 0 of the Game Asset. It will probably have additional 3 LoDs.
The Main Hull is very accurate to the movie prop. The details are not for the sake of performance.

This Clone wars/Rebels art style look very nice and original.
Nice dude. Will you be redoing the Liberty as well? That model isn't very accurate.
You can bake a ton of that information down to save on poly without losing any quality
He’s going to use LOD to keep that exact detail when the player’s camera is close to the ship, the further away LOD’s may have baked texture versions of that on lower poly meshes but I’m not sure. Either way I think he knows what he’s doing.
