Actually we wanted to post a ingame video but then the Marmoset developers desided to bring out the long awaited 3.04 patch.
That probably means there´s gonna be a decent intro video for the mod ;)
We couldnt withstand the 3.04 patch and did some renders with the fancy volumetric shadows, cascading shadows and hardcore shadow mapping ;)
Besides that the update features baking light maps which are awesome news since that is going to speed up the process of texturing for the next starships a lot because Marmoset got the by far strongest texture baker.
We need this out there ;) This is the best model so far :D How will you place the turrets and hardpoints? :)
It has the 8 Octuples and 96 additional hardpoints. right now they are just normal hardpoints. we need to see if they will be actual rotating turrets or not
Really hope they be rotating :) Make it more real ;) But you dont need too many weapens hardpoins, just watch Empire at war remake, they have pretty good cover with hardpoints turrets :)
the thing with turrets is that having too many can lead to perfomance issues. You don't really want to overdo it with them.
