A short update about the latest advances in the development of the mod. Dynamic nature scenes!

Hello everyone!

I've been extremely busy in my personal life recently, but I managed to get in a few hours of development here and there. I decided to make some changes which will improve the whole mod; specifically, I noticed how dead Amnesia's world always is - nothing ever moves (unless a player interacts with it), which might seem like a benefitting factor for scaring the player, but I actually consider slightly animated environments to be more scary.

Hence, I edited some of the plant assets to be dynamic. See the results here:

While the results aren't anything spectacular, I think it is a breath of fresh air (pun inteded) in usually dead Amnesia environments. Perhaps I will be able to add more little animations like this one to other environments, but we shall see!

That's it from me today. I'm extremely excited for what is to come, and I hope that you are too!

PS. The mod is still a long way down the line, so you can go and play my previous Custom Story in the meantime:

I enjoy

No pressure on dev time, irl always takes priority. I agree that the original foliage was a bit weird being completely still, kinda felt like I was looking at wax models. Very nice details!
