Eldervale is an Unreal Tournament 2004 RPG. It's a small prototype containing a lot of the main features of third-person role-playing games. These features will be a third-person camera that can be rotated 360 degrees, an NPC and object interaction system, and a dialogue system for interacting with the various NPC's.
When the mod is finished, it may be used as a base for a more lengthy game.

I was thinking to make Legacy of kain: Soul Reaver's entire map of nosgoth, and since you said anyone can use it as a base for more lenghty games, I was wondering if the RPG game type you created would work well with the project I have in mind?
My goal is to ultimately recreate the soul reaver game, but you can play with whatever character you want, and use weapons instead of the reaver.
i can make the whole map on my own, but i just need the RPG base to be able to play it as an RPG game.

This mod looks cool, but is it dead?
It's been "dead" since 2007 or so. I haven't heard from the coder since the pathfinding/camera videos were made. The most recent screenshots are from early 2007.
I haven't looked for another coder, but I'm going to revive the mod for UT3 over the next few months.
cool, it looks very much like zelda. ive always wanted a similar game for the pc.

this thing looks very promising. I love the feel the screenshots have. It feels like an authentic yet original rpg adventure. I'm looking forward to the release :)
