The Battle for Middle-earth has just begun! The Edain Mod returns to the classic gameplay of the first Battle for Middle-earth, reimagined with countless new heroes, units and abilities. Journey deeper into Tolkien's world than ever before, relive the movies through meticulously crafted visuals and forge your path to victory in epic strategic battles. Follow your destiny... Middle-earth awaits.
Khamûl has received a new design based on his brief appeareance in The Battle of the Five Armies. However, we did not give him the huge mace he wielded in that movie, because we felt it was too close to the Witch-King's weapon and didn't really fit his role in Edain.
You can not be serious! This is simply amazing! :o)))
Yes I can, I just choose not to... some of the time.
I like his horned helmet :)
Will you redesign the other nazguls too? :)
It is a great design.
Oh OMG OMG OMG!!!It so cool such nice art and graphic!!!You are as always the best team Edain!!!just COOOOOLLLL!!!!! :)
faction Dain Irom Foot as it appears in batalhados hobbit BATLE OF five armies that One can ride a boar and Thror and Thrain
Try english, it's a good language.
It seems that he's portuguese - Batalhado{s?} is (google translator says that) "fought"... it's still unlogical - "Dain Irom Foot faction as it appears in battling hobbit Batle of Five Armies who can ride a boar and Thror and Thrain" WTF
personaly i miss the old rhun-like decorations of his mantle (i think that could have been kept and mixed with that) otherwise really nice..
I agree. He doesn't look too "easterling" anymore.
That's my bad. Actually his helmet looks easterling. But I still like the old look :) (I like both, mixing them is not bad idea)
That looks so ******* great!!!!
Great work, but I think the Horse could use a more fitting re-skin don't you think :P
Excellent Work!!!, ¿supose you do all the 9 based in bofa? ¿and Beorn have hobbit moveset and skins?
You want to make me cry?! Epicness all over the place :0
Also got that fellbeast a new skin?
And do you plan to rework the dark marshall and the schattenfursten aswell?
Unlikely, since we kinda like our current look for them. Khamûl on the other hand really needed the rework.
Mr. Adamin, you are back!!!
Well, I wasn't really gone, just... busy. :D
faction Dain Irom Foot as it appears in battle of the five armies hobbit that One can ride a boar and Thror and Thrain and the cavelaria of dwarves mounted on cabars of war or mounted boar
Well you could realy try english...
Insanely good work, much better than the previous version.
Amazing! I hope you will do a great work with the other characters :)
[OFF TOPIC] Does anyone know where I can find a list of Edain units statistics?
As far as I know there's no such thing.
Something like this, but for Edain: Gamereplays.org
Fun fact about this list, I think that you can't outrun knights with a berserker. :P
Nor that Dunlendings don't have speed...
OMG. It's amazing
OHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYY GOOOOOOOOD!!!!!
Khamul wasn't the king of Rhun, why does he looks like him ?
He's Khamul the Easterling. He was a lord of Rhun.
He rides a fell beasterling and everything.
Sorry to bump such an old post but I dont recall that being mentioned anywhere. To many fanbased trivia being thrown around...
Actually Khamul is one of only a couple of Nazguls who are specifically mentioned.
it's plainly said that he was a lord of Rhun.
I don't know, I actually like the old design a bit better.
yeah, me too. I liked that he was unique but still wasn´t this much different... this is nice, but it sort of breaks the traditional "nine" (or eight+leader).
but if you don´t mind breaking the "9 riders in black concept", maybe you could make more of them special (GamesWorkshop as inspiration) ;)
Regarding the Games Workshop models as inspiration: now that I revisit the Mordor section for the Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game the model named "Khamûl the Easterling" looks remarkably like the model in the mod (3.8.1). At least the mask does, and I would venture to say that's where they got the former design. At any rate, I like it because it's much subtler (and evil).
The old Khamul is based on the GW figure.
Don't worry, there will still be the option to play Khamûl as a Black Rider without armor.
Khamûl will only get this armor if the player chooses to reveal him as the Black Easterling. It's more like an "upgrade". The Witchking can be similarly played either as a Black Rider, or can be armed with his iconic helmet and mace.
Whhaaa... AMAZING!
excellent idea and execution! But I agree that the nazgul horses would need a little lifting too.
That looks REALLY bad-***. :O He's a lot scarier!
OMFG, All Nazguls will be redesigned? man... this is too much amazing!
Sorry to disappoint you, but no there are no further redesigns planned right now.
There are four Ringwraiths in Edain that can be revealed/armed with special armor and abilities. Of those only Khamûl was redesigned because we liked his Look from the Hobbit Movie. The other three will stay as they are for now.
I was playing yesterday and i've noticed a minor bug concerning the Ringwraiths and the Mouth of Sauron and the Necromancer. Thing is, due to the fact they only "level up" when the Necromancer levels up, giving the ring to the Necromancer stops the evolutionary progress of the Ringwraiths and Mouth of Sauron that stay connected to the level the Necromancer was before getting the ring. I don't know if that was intentional, but I leave that info anyway! Keep up the good work, the mod is amazing!
OMG,I can't wait!
Awesome! You really did a number on the guy. Pity for the mace, I suppose they gave it to him to tie him to the Witch King, being Khamul the second in command, but whatever, we always knew him with a sword. Whatever, I like him!
Jut perfect! He's easy to recognize among all the others in the movie, and his portrayal was perfect for the Mod! (i expected this choice and welcome it x3)
We are impatient to see the other Nazguls!!!!!!!! Great work, congratulations!!!
