The Ambassador Corvette is new ship based off of the older Consular-Class Cruiser built by the Corellian Engineering Corporation. Designed for the fledgling New Republic to act as a transport for diplomats, it boasts an array of weapons to allow it to defend itself from pirate and Imperial attacks. The New Republic quickly discovered the value of the Ambassador as a combat vehicle; they refitted it to have ten laser cannons, nearly double the pre-refit weapons, as well as two turbolaser batteries above the bridge. Its engines are capable of doubling their outputs to flee from unwanted conflicts or overwhelming odds.
The Ambassador is a level 3 corvette and is available in skrimish
