The Harrier-Class Gunship is the New Republic's answer to the increased use of fighters and other small craft by the Imperial Remnant and various Pirate organizations. just shorter than the Imperial Tartan Cruiser, the Gunship is vastly superior in armourment and maneuverability. Armed with eight laser cannons (three each port and starboard, and two bow mounted) and four concussion missile launchers (one each port and starboard, and two bow mounted), the Harrier can handle fighters, bombers, and most corvettes with ease. In larger groups Harriers can go toe to toe with most enemy frigates. An array of maneuvering jets spread across the hull of the harrier allows it the agility to enter into dogfights with even the quickest of enemy fighters. All of this comes at a steep price, both in credits and materials, limiting the number of these gunships that can be fielded at one time.
