After the European union faced the collapse of its unified currency, Greece went from a bad to worse situation. With no funds for social care and the key services of Police, Army and Healthcare, society collapsed into total anarchy. After 2 weeks of riots and social unrest, the Army removed what was left of the government in a Military coup. Since then partial order was established, but it was based on fear and brutality. The generals of the army decided that instead of seeking to calm the populace through providing social programs working towards distribution of wealth, they decided to implement a plan to mass sedate the nation. The island of Altis was the epicenter of this research where civilians were placed under extreme stress, medicated and observed by the psychiatrists in charge of the program. Two months into the trial, the situation on the main land deteriorated again, leaving the inhabitants of island in a state of total meltdown with the army now unable to maintain law
