Who's the saboteur? Everyone knows how Deus Ex ends: JC Denton merges with Helios. What most people do not know is that the merger initially failed. But that's the very part of the story told in DXVetery. In DXVetery, you will be able to play once again as JC Denton, trying hard to complete his merger with Helios. Unravel the mystery about the Helios saboteur, while listening to all new music that is even more dynamic than the original game's. Meet old friends and foes, and try to find out about their real loyalties; get a new (and yet strangely familiar) weapon, and make good use of your newly implanted God module. The beta version is already available, visit the dxvetery homepage for details!

To play DXVetery with the Steam version of Deus Ex, you need an additional Deus Ex launcher. Setup can now automatically install this launcher for you.

The task of the Deus Ex launcher is to start the game. The Steam version of Deus Ex makes things complicated by not only requiring Steam to be running when Deus Ex is started, but it must actually be started from Steam. This causes problems for DXVetery. The author of the alternative Deus Ex launcher found at Kentie.net has given the DXVetery team permission to include his Deus Ex launcher in the DXVetery Setup. Thus, you no longer have to manually fiddle with files when trying out DXVetery with the Steam version of Deus Ex! :-)
