And very turbulent years too. I've been through quite a lot and have been very busy working on things, mostly to try and generate an income, so I really couldn't continue work on the mod.
Yesterday my girlfriend and I took a look at the latest backup disk for Draconian Empire and enjoyed looking back at the work I did back then. Such a waste really!
So I'm not gonna make any promises as I am running my own business nowadays and that's eating up my time quite a bit, BUT: we both want to continue work on this project. Luckily I backed up all the tools, source files etc so it shouldn't be much of a problem to get things rolling again. That is, if you guys are still interested... :)
We are also thinking of making a simple little RTS spinoff, using the content I made for Draconian Empire and improving on that. Something "simple" at first, but something we can expand upon over time. It would be cool to have a standalone/completely original version of Draconian Empire and would allow for much more custom game mechanics as well.
So thinking of making a choice here, either continue working on the mod, or make Draconian Empire it's own game entirely.
Going to try and keep you guys posted on any progress, sorry for being silent for so long :)

Now thats a pleasant surprise from a mod that I started following so very long ago ;)
Well take your time on this one, its not like we had a release of some kind of better space RTS than Homeworld 2 for many years now and the game is always installed and ready to test some mods. So yeah you always have my interest with a Homeworld mod :D
Right now we're working on turning Draconian Empire into a stand-alone game (with a multiplayer focus, for now). It's going to be easy to understand, and it still retains some Homeworld influences.
The mod is defininately not cancelled though, as we found all of the old resources that we've last worked on. :D It might just take a bit longer to release compared to the game though.

It'll probably be a while before we'll post new stuff on here for the mod as the focus is elsewhere now.
A nice thing is though that now we are working on the standalone version we can polish my original ideas big time before continuing on the mod ;)
