Doom Reborn is a total conversion of the original Doom Series. Our goal is to recreate the original Doom & Doom 2 in the idTech4 engine with new textures and new models of the original weapons and monsters with the maps redone and retextured. We also want to bring back the orignal doom music along with the sounds remade in a higher quality. Doom Reborn is and always will be a non profit project. I'm actually in the middle of playing Doom co-op at the moment with one of my friends., For the first time in years
I've been thinking about the multiplayer side of the mod lately
And i'll be adding it after the levels are finished.
Adding multiplayer will not be easy So when im ready to start that a full single player version would be better to have first,
So Multiplayer has to wait :(
Cannot Load any quicksaves. Getting "Malloc" error. Can anyone help me with this?
The Save function isn't working at the moment.
I probably wont get the chance to sort it out till the ground work is done. (End of episode 1 Alpha Version 0.85)
I may try and sort out at least quick save\quick load for alpha version 0.85 but can't promise it. :(
BTW
When you die do not use the restart button,
open the console and type "Map E1M1" or what ever level you where on e.g E1M1, E1M2, E1m3 and so forth
You'll loose your weapons, But thats what happened in Doom if you die.
Do you have any idea when 0.85 may be released? I'm really enjoying the game anyway.

Well things have been going smoothly for the past couple of months now luckly enough, And if it stays this way it could be somewhere towards the end of the year Summer,Winter Time,
But I am working 2jobs and in the process of moving house. If someone was to make us a good offer we'd be out the next day, So Things could easily make a sharp turn in development till I get moved in.
But i'll always be keeping you's updated
Other than that I did have a 2TB hard drive failing the other day (well over the period of 3-4months) which I got sorted now.
Luckly that didn't hold me back as much as expected
But the other new 1TB Seagate sshd I got the other month may need replaced as well.
Anyway lots of stuff happening but I try to get a bit done everyday and will continue to do so.

So I need to know. Are you doing the whole of Doom. If you are than that is awesome. If you compltete the whole mod I would definitely download it.

Well it's something i've thought about, But it's not exactly my main plan at the moment,
I want to comeplete a solid version simalar to the shareware version of Doom 1 so to speak. And then continue with everything else.
After Episode 1 and The first 8-9 levels of Doom2 are complete with a proper ending I'll be moving on to bring Multiplayer Co-op (all being well) :)
The shareware version of Doom 1 had all this so i'd like to be able to provide everyone a simalar experence first with episode 1 before i'd begin work on episode 2
Getting Saves and Multiplayer Co-op setup is going to take a bit of time Even if I had Someone else to help me
Right now it's too much work too worry about, Im not saying no, I'll just have to see how things go :)
Wish me luck though cause i'm going to need it lol
