Goal of this mod is to recreate Doom into a not quite modern, but still more than vanilla, experience. Think if Doom were made in 1998 instead of '93.
REQUIRES GZDOOM NOT ZANDRONUM. MAKE SURE TO ENABLE 3D MODELS IN THE OPTIONS MENU. If that don't work, feel free to complain I guess. And try updating your version of GZDoom.
It's been a while. After getting an actual job again (I'm only nineteen, don't judge me) I've been more focused on my own stuff for some time. And also playing Halo 1, but were not going to talk about that...
I'm planning on revamping some models, because why not? Also the gore effects need some work too. Just so you guys know before some daft bastard tries to compare this to Doom Remake 4, Most models are models I have taken and repurposed in Milkshape3d. Meaning they are sort of what I like to call "Frakenstein Models". They have been animated by me of course, But my modeling skill is quite primitive so I have to work with my limited knowledge of the subject. I have left credits of course.
I am thinking of making the models look more like their original counterparts. That's all for now.

This mod badly needs muzzle flashes for the weapons and also firing projectiles. Also when zombies shoot their guns do not leave any smoke or fire, nothing at all.

I like it, looks good, plays good except for the super shotgun. It has a short delay before firing. Is that a known issue or it's just for me?

Is there a way to have ragdolls when you kill a demon, it's just a suggestion tho, just saying that ragdoll would have a better experience in my opinion.
Impossible. I would literally have to change engines to something like Half-Life source, which I have no idea how to use, just to have some friggin ragdolls in my remake of an almost thirty year old game. That would be pretty damn cool though.
But You could definitely change the kill animations and implement some dynamic mutilation effects
I would need the models to have the correct bones implemented. When putting a quake 2 model into Milkshape3d, the bones are not preserved. This is why I have trouble animating more complicated models. Maybe I could find some software that preserves the bones and allows animation?
i hope the game get better models in the future or a ps1 style models
