After Bethesda has released the widescreen assets for the new version of the
Unity-based widescreen version of Doom freely for usage in mods, I decided to
compile them into a package to make them easily usable in Doom source ports
like GZDoom.
I don't claim any copyright for these assets, these are only just the original
assets from Bethesda, cropped for different aspect ratios.
Additionally, the 21:9 statusbar is made by "dmsir" on the ZDoom forums:

Replaces the following resources for the different versions of Doom:
The animations on the map overview screens for Doom 1 are adjusted so that they appear in the correct position.
Note:
Ending screens for Doom 1 (PFUB1, PFUB2) have not been replaced (yet), as GZDoom cannot render the scrolling animation correctly as this point.
Load GZDoom with the main IWAD of your choice, and add the corresponding patch via the "-file" parameter:
gzdoom -iwad doom2 -file doom2_ws_16_10.zip
