DOOM SERIES 2016: Textures

NOTE* Download Embers of Armageddon (EOA) for weapons, items, combat mechanics, and upgrade system. Load EOA AATextures before anything else. This mod is meant to be used with EOA but it can be used alone. Post a YouTube video about DOOM SERIES 2016 and get access to early content. I have focused on the original game at the beginning and working my way through the rest. This is a texture mod that builds on the idea of EOA with textures from DOOM 2016. I have combined all the best existing texture mods for the most modern effect. I am slowly replacing the existing textures with textures from DOOM 2016. The goal is to build on existing texture mods and turn the original doom into something closer to DOOM 2016. I DO NOT want to change the map layouts or keycards. I want the underlining game to stay the same. The goal of this mod is to create something like Halo Anniversary or Half life Black Mesa. If you would like to help please contact me.

I am writing this for anyone who might want to make a texture mod for doom in the future, here is how I created doom series 2016

1. How to replace textures

first open EOA AATextures with winrar

then open hires

find image you want to replace

write down exact name and what type of file format

delete the file you want to replace

insert the new image file

change the name to the old file and it will replace the old one make sure they are the same format

2. How to get textures

I bought DOOM 2016 on steam and when I find a texture I like I simply turn off cross hair then and the hud and hit the windows button and
g and then click the camera icon, make sure to get as close as possible and try to be facing straight on. You will need to change file format
well it will make it easier because when you copy and paste it will go in faster. Go into paint and click save as and then you can change
the format

3. How to make textures not look like a tile

Download Gimp

At the top go to filter

then map

then tile seamless

also smudge can help it not look cubed when there's a lot of them
