Doom 3 BFG Hi def 2.9 released. Once again we have stepped away from the default rbdoom3bfg.exe into a custom one that allows full video refresh when settings are changed or cfg file, and some other fixes and updates like glew 2.0, Fix for Stereoscopic 3D modes, Fixed resolution changing bug with MSAA and HDR. Few new textures, fx added to a few things (like lost souls give off light). includes everything from previous patches

Wow! Nice!
Am I the only one who thinks “full1.cfg” looks terrible?
It's totally stripped the game of all its atmospheric lighting!
Anyway, the other presets look good.
People seem to like their games having all kinds of useless post processing effects like motion blur, depth of field and so on.
I think motion blur can make the game feel a little smoother when in motion, but it's hard to do correctly,
DOF can be good... sometimes... if it's very, *very* subtle, which it literally never is in mods.
But “full1.cfg”... man that lighting looks straight-up broken!
Yup I do agree the lighting is just too bright for Doom 3
so don't run it lol
funny thing about doom 3 everyone bitches its to dark, add any brightness and someone always will bitch its to bright. cant win
I don't think anyone complained of Doom 3 being too dark after BFG Edition came out...
I had people tell me this mod is to dark, look thru old comments. People have different gear and such.
Doom 3 is absolutely best in darker areas imo. Ambient and machinery noise used for enviormental sound texturing, little to no music soundtrack, along with pulsing and swaying enviormental lightning makes Doom 3 so spooky immersive...
exec doom3.cfg darkest version
