I've recently added that ability to Duriel and it's really fun. I guess there should be check something in the code for equipped potions, so it can be done to make monsters drop some other items from your inventory, like runes, gems and equipped items.
PS.Arctic Blast with Thief ability is a nightmare xD.

I chose Duriel and these now because in this way I do not replace another skill. Initially, I found a way to replace it with the Rage ability for brute type, but I didn't find where the original code was. "PS..." - YES :) - I have never seen the original idea in which he removed his weapons and armor. Last time I searched here and I refused to search more because it suits me too. Ibb.co PS. Sorry my english

change - baseid /monstats.txt/ to frozenhorror1 for other example: Ibb.co
and make it "Thief" who you want or create new with this ability.

Yeah, I'll test it later with other monsters. Maybe I'll make a new superunique with that ability.
Thanks for the info, I'll check it out in 1.13c.

HexWorsh... d2game.dll 1.13c - 5E5BC36A0057BB0B (OB for Duriel); FF5E5BC36A00BB23 (23 for Frozen Horror); FF5E5BC36A00BB0D - (0D is for Rage ability for brute, default is a Treehead WoodFist in Dark Wood). PS - I wrote it to save you a minute.

I remember I enabled something like this once. I believe I changed some monsters aura to Thorns aura and my merc always killed himself with one hit because of this.

Description

Thieving was a special ability that unique monsters could have in Diablo II prior to the release of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction that allowed them to knock items out of a character's inventory when hitting them with an attack.

This could initially be anything, including equipped weapons or armor, which could be especially crippling for physical attackers moreso than mages. This was nerfed to only make players drop Potions out of their Belt.

With the initial sale of Diablo II prior to patching, Lord De Seis had this unique ability to 'steal' character's items. On a successful hit, he had a % chance of making a random item the character had equipped drop onto the floor. This was changed to potions later to reduce its effectiveness.
