This mod adds some great new gameplay to the game. Virtually everything have been tweaked and modified and around 80 new units and 20+ new structures have been added. In combination with new generals, super weapons and powers. New music and sounds for some units. This mod will take the fight to the sea in huge naval battles between submarines, destroyers, battleships and gunboats. It will take fighting in the sky to new levels with a broad variety of aircrafts and helicopters. The GLA can now participate in these fights. But the real battle will take place on the ground, engaging mammoth overlords, light vipers and specialized infantry units. With tons of new and improved units to play with, Destructive Forces will keep you busy for hours! Skirmish is supported. "This mod does what Zero Hour did to Generals, to Zero Hour! Each side is even more diverse than before, some Generals may be absolutely horrible against others, and some may be a fair fight. The only units that are shared...

Report RSS Finishing the project

During the coming Christmas holidays we will try to finish this mod and release a final version perhaps in late January next year.

I have manage to find a person that is willing to help me in the continuation of this mod. He will primarily be working on the AI. Our goal is to create a fully working, fully optimized AI for DF. Furthermore we will emphazis our work on fixing all bugs, crashes and missing icons and texts in the mod. Some balancing to existing units will perhaps also be made. IF we get time, some additional units might get added too.

I can't promise you a perfect final version, but we will at least give it a try. "Hmm, now how did you code for C&C Generals again?"

can i ask that when you finish it the version won't automaticly run when you open up ZH but you use an icon instead cause this stops me from using other ZH modds to.

Thanks, M Doyle

They are already in. USA has a repair drone that can build laser wall or something. I think it was the Tech&Naval.

If you can fix the AI, so that it's up to the standard of Contra's or Vanilla Zero Hour, then this mod will be complete.

Here's some of the glitches i've found that i've found (they might be old) that you might want to fix:

The USA campaign doesn't work at all, you click on Campaign - USA - (any difficulty) and it doesn't show the film screen, and when you start playing, it's just the Shell Map, only with no Sea, or Units.

The GLA's campaign works fine.

The Chinease campaign works, apart from the final mission, Mission 5 (my favorite), it comes up with the Serious Error message whenever you try to play it.

The USA's Patrol Boat sinks under water, almost like a submarine, with the Laser turret showing above the water.

All Naval Yards can be built anywhere, try making a script to make it so that it can only be built at the water's edge.

That's all the ones i've found so far, i'll update it if I find any more.

The main problem with this mod is the AI, if you can get that fixed, then Destructive Forces will definitly get some peoples votes in Mod of the Year 2011.
