Amnesia custom story - UPDATED
Finally! This project is done. Development started in october 2013, finished in 29. march 2014. This is my second custom story and the first one made all by my self. More information can be found in NEWS section in updates that were already provided (about the story, monsters and others). + demonstration images and videos.
2020 UPDATE: There were some bugs mainly thanks to 1.3 update so why not fix some.
That is why version 1.44 was made. It is NOT a REMAKE but it does include some changes and fixes.
Things needed:
- Justine DLC
- Powerful computer (4GB RAM, or Quadcore - otherwise expect some lags)
- Patience (estimated gameplay time is about 3-5 hours - no way to finish in one evening)
- If you are a Steam user or have 1.3 or newer Amnesia version, play the v. 1.44
Things not needed/not included:
- Full conversion (just a regular custom story with regular lantern)
- Genius brain (you are not going to be tortured by impossibly difficult puzzles)
- Sense of humour (the custom story is bipolar, main parts = serious, optional parts = ridiculous)
Basic info:
- Estimated gameplay time: 3-5 hours (depends on many factors)
- Amount of maps: 32 including intro and outro
- Amount of chapters: 6 + tutorial
- File size: 500+mb (200+mb as zipped file)

Death Gods Only Eat Apples focuses on Amnesia TDD projects only (yet), we're sharing mapping and scripting, i'm mostly responsible for story-writing, Umba makes models for my Wheezy Everlasting 2 mod, but we use some of them in the current project. The story behind the First Sin:
In the beginning, there was only dark. The dark was empty, but contained everything at the same time. Covered the whole world, like a caring mother. It gave birth to all the things this world was known of. Then, there was.. IT. Some would say it was the form of the dark itself. But there was something.. something entirely different, which was not seen in the past eons. LIGHT. A bed for change. That the eternal dark age would end at last.
From the planned 3 chapters, 1 is already released, mostly mapped and scripted by me, Chapter 2 is coming today too, which i'm only helping in. Happy Easter to everyone, and have fun with our project ^^

Did I not make enough of them? As far as I remember there were like 6 or so, that is more than average compared to other mod developers.
I will not return to this engine but this is not the last time I ever make something OK.
Hi, I am not returning to moddb, I just had a little request to update this mod, because apparently 1.3 did a number on this.
This mod used to be quite popular so I thought why not give it some treatment.
The 1.44 version is the version for you, it is not a remake, it just features a few fixes including redubs of old voices.

In my opinion, the older voices have more personality and charm to them. The only voices I think are better are Lazar's.
That was a very quick response after the upload. Of course you are free to combine them how you see fit.
Would you be willing to come back and update this mod?
The base game Amnesia was last updated a couple of months ago (as of December 21st) but I only found this mod last week. I have read the previous comments and aware of the difficulties the author has had in having idle friendly monsters being invisible.
I have played through Chapter 1 but while I enjoyed it, I was taken out of the scene many times due to the invisible monsters, especially the optional house where you hunt a certain number of gatherers in a set time. I couldn't win that game again because of the invisible monsters bug. As such, as much as I loved what I've seen so far, I'm reluctant to play more in case I miss something important.
Also, at the start of Chapter 2 during the intro cutscene, every single friendly gatherer in the level was loaded and stood standing next to the bed. They couldn't be interacted with nor had any object collision on them.
I have the Steam version of Amnesia TDD which is auto updated, and as of me writing this comment, it has a BuildID of 3234539.
FIXED.
