In the year 2005, a total conversion mod called Ashes of Apocalypse has come into the spotlight. It was a very promising sci-fi mod, which promised a world as big as Vvardenfell, many factions to choose from, realism features such as radiation and hunger and multiple endings for the main storyline. However, the mod was scrapped after the second release and after multiple engine changes, the team who worked on this mod are now unreachable. I tried to contact both team leaders but none of them replied.

History: In 2008, I found this mod when it was already abandoned. I was very intruiged with the uniqueness of this mod and after playing the demo release, I was excited for more. As I realised that it was abandoned with no hope of any resurrection, I immediately grabbed the CS and started changing things. At first, I was just moving around objects and fixing placement bugs but before I knew it, I started expansion of the game world and writing a main storyline which surrounded the surviving faction the Redchurch Temple. The expansion and the main storyline was the first full release and came out in 2010.

The second release, UBA's Paradise, added a second main storyline which focuses on the Red Year (the year when Morrowind was destroyed when the Ministry of Truth crashed into Vivec) and a sage trying to undo it with disastrous consequences. Also, this was the first release to bring side quests to the different settlements, old and new, and the police faction (United Barrier Alliance) has their own storyline written for it. The second release came out in 2012.

The third release, New Kogotel, added a new village on the mainland, as well as some more dialogue, one more quest and plenty more detail on the Shrubland Island. The third release came out in 2017.

I admit, this release is much smaller than the previous two releases in terms of content. However, I have been working all year on the Faren Mountains so I don't think there's a need to wait any longer for the third release (am I right?). Here are the planned features of the third release:

-Some new Zero-One ruins. Will be completed in the Icecape release.
-An expanded forest in the southeast. Will be completed in the Sandy Plains release.
-The village of New Kogotel, as well as TR's Indoril stuff. There should be a few quests in this settlement.
-A completely redone Ice Domain and a brand new Oregon border region.

New Kogotel, Bronze Pass and the Zero-One Ruins

I will strive to release my work at least once every year (though I am hoping that it will be more frequent than that!). The planned release for New Kogotel will be on 12/12/2013, with Icecape hopefully a few months after.

OK, I managed to release as promised. Most of what I wanted, couldn't make it in time, so I decided to release with little fanfare and promotion. I will make improvements to Icecape and the like, with the Arthfront release.

Long time since there was a last update. I have technically done more of the Faren Mountains, with more quests and more choices to UBA's Paradise. Planning to release this in Q1 2022.

Um, this is dead, right? No more DR2?

Let's just say that while I enjoy playing DR2, it's not a priority for me at the moment. I have two projects on The Assimilation Lab, which will have better quests than in DR2.

Delaying the third release so I can redo the existing areas and get them up to TR standard.

I'm hoping to get the next release out soon! It won't include Icecape at this moment but it will include New Kogotel and some of the Faren Mountains. More news soon...
