An overhaul mod for the Wrath of Sparta DLC, Demetrios Poliorketes pushes the start date forward to 294 B.C. right in the wars for Alexander's Legacy between the Diadochoi. There are many new mechanics added on top of the existing ones, in order to make the campaign deeper and more engaging. Factions and units were carefully researched in order to have a high degree of historical accuracy, whilst still having some liberties in order to provide the best possible gameplay.

Great mod but please fix Bithynian generals and Demetrios, Lysimachos, Olympiodoros, Philetairos, Ptolemaios, Pyrrhos lose their spears when mounted on horseback in battle!

You also have to:

Change "Sarrisophoroi" name to "Phalangitai" name because Sarrisophoroi means literally Sarrisa Bearers but in real history, Sarrisophoroi was Sarrisa Bearer Cavalry and Phalangitai was Sarrisa Pikemen in ancient Macedonian army.

Fix Sparta (Sparte) can't build Aqueduct (greek_water) and elephant officer animation glitch.

Fix Epeiros can't recruit inaccessible mercenaries or incorrect bonus script for Epeiros.

How to fix elephant officer animation glitch:
Create new table in animation_table, copy and paste this script:
version 1

animation_table rome_man_elephant_cavalry_officer
{
skeleton_type rome_man_game
skeleton_type_cinematic rome_man

mount_table rome_mount_elephant

fragment rome_man_unarmed_fragment
fragment rome_man_cinematic_fragment
fragment rome_man_sword_shield_fragment
fragment rome_man_sword_shield_matched_combat_fragment
fragment rome_elephant_rider_fragment
fragment rome_elephant_rider_matched_combat_fragment
fragment rome_elephant_rider_javelin_fragment
}

Then replace the old animation_table rome_man_elephant... with the new one in battle_personalities_table.

So I checked a few of the stuff mentioned.
Sparta can build the water chain, note that it is only available in provincial capitals.
The unique mercenaries seem to be bugged indeed, they will be fixed in the next update

Hey, thanks for pointing out some bugs. Epeiros can recruit the special mercenaries, they need to be inside their own borders if this is what you mean.

Will take a look at the Officers being bugged as well as Sparta not being able to build the water chain.

About the cavalry name conventions, we know this:

According to the taxonomy of the Tactical
Writers, all the cavalry which fought at close
quarters was called the doratophoroi ‘spearbearing’
or xystophoroi ‘lance-bearing’ cavalry
(Asclep. 1. 3)

So at least to my research, I haven't seen "sarissophoroi" being used for cavalry
