The very first release of DA featuring the two Crusader factions.
Hello and welcome to the Dei Agminum Ver 1.0 Release! I have not done a complete playtest so I am asking users to report bugs to me as soon as possible so I can release a hotfix in the next few days if needed. Please look for the following things: bugged out unit models/textures, missing unit icons/unit infos (specifically for rebels), typos in unit descriptions, missing unit sound (unit voice), and campaign map crashes. If you are experiencing a campaign map crash send me your log file so I can troubleshoot what’s causing the error. There should not be any access to gunpowder weapons/buildings in this campaign yet, if you encounter anything gunpowder related let me know. Also, be on the lookout for balancing issues, I would like to know how to improve unit balance. With that out of the way, I hope you have fun and enjoy this content and that it breathes new life into this gem of a game!
Release Features:
- Two modded Factions: Jerusalem and Antioch.
- Dozens of new units for the two factions! Encompassing over 73 new models and 181 textures.
- New animations including dual-wielded weapons and working bowstrings!
- New character portraits for generals, diplomats, merchants, spies, and assassins.
- New UI elements including a new splash screen, loading screens, faction icons, banners/flags, unit icons and campaign map UI.
- Three new building trees for the Templars, Teutonic Knights, and Hospitallers.
- New armor system. Partial plate is not available yet in the campaign, but you can play with the partial plate templar knights in custom battles.
- New respawning generals: Templar Grandmaster (Jerusalem), Hospitaller Grandmaster (Jerusalem), Marshall of the Hospitallers (Antioch). The two grandmasters are dependent on you holding Jerusalem and the marshall is dependent on you holding Krak de Chevaliers.
- New Stratmap models for both factions including the generic general, generic captain, king, and heir.
- Heroes, with unique models and textures! Jerusalem players can command Balian, Baldwin IV, Richard the Lionheart, and many others while Antioch has access to Raynald de Chatillon and Philip Augustus.
Installation Instructions:
-Unzip and move the Dei_Agminum folder into your Medieval 2 mods directory.
-(Optional) setup a shortcut to the "da_launch" bat file in the Dei_Agminum folder to create a desktop shortcut by right-clicking the bat file and and sending it to the desktop, you can use the provided icon in the DA folder by clicking "Change Icon" and borwsing/selecting the icon from the DA folder:
-(Optional) If you are experiencing a graphics issue with white blocks on the campaign map and white areas on your battle map, do the following:
*Go to your DA ui folder (Medieval II Total War\mods\Dei_Agminum\data\ui) and copy these three files: battle.sd, shared.sd, and strategy.sd. Paste these three files into your ui folder in your main Medieval 2 directory (Medieval II Total War\data\ui). If that folder doesn't exist, just create a folder in the data directory and name it "ui".
-(Optional) If you are experiencing an issue on the campaign map with missing text, do the following:
*Go to your DA text folder (Dei_Agminum\data\text) and copy these three files: shared.txt.strings, strat.txt.strings, and tooltips.txt.strings. Paste these three files into your text folder in your main Medieval 2 directory (Medieval II Total War\data\text). If that folder doesn't exist, just create a folder in the data directory and name it "text".
King Baldwin wishes you much luck and contentment in your first playthrough of Dei Agminum.
WOOOOOO
The year is 1174 not 1177 just saying
Thanks for pointing that out bro. It was such a low priority, I forgot to change that. Will address that if I release a hotfix or in the next release.
Hello Nikola, did you experience any issues with the campaign map being messed up?
No
Are you using a laptop or a desktop with a dedicated graphics card?
The campaign map and the cities UI are all a mess for me! Help?
How did you install?
Anyone else experiencing the above problem?

Yeah man, i'm suffering the same problem, i tried deleting the map.rwm file but the problem persists, any ideas ?
Same for me, deleting the map.rwm does not help
Hi guys, for those of you experiencing the corrupted stratmap issue. Can you try the following.....go into this directory:
Medieval II Total War\mods\Dei_Agminum\data\world\maps\base
delete the file "map.rwm"
Relaunch the game.....if it works, please confirm so I can post this as a part of the installation instructions.
Hi again,
It doesn't work for me. I deleted the map.rwn and launch the game and got the same problem.
When I open my file after the maps.rpm is back again in the directory, but I don't know if it is normal.
Thank you for being so quick to answer and for your work.
Hello no problem.....the game is supposed to rebuild that file. I will help you get this sorted out. Please give me some more information. Do you have kingdoms expansion pack installed? Are you using steam by any chance and could you plz send me your log file?
Yes, I have kingdoms installed. I also use Steam. Dont really know where to find the specific log :s
For info: it is installed on my E disk (no place on C). I am using others mods and they are working fine. But maybe it is the use of ohter mods which make it crash?
Do you have integrated motherboard graphics or a dedicated video card?
Same for me
Integrated graphics or a video card in your setup?
I have Stainless Steel installed, can that be the UI problem?
Hello guys, when you go into this directory:
Medieval II Total War\logs
DA's logs should be deposited there. Can one of you who is experiencing the map issue send me their log file named "da_log"? They are just text files.
Just PM me when you are ready and I'll provide my email contact.
Also try this if you are experiencing the map issue ....try disabling Anti-Aliasing in your video settings?
I play with no Anti-Aliasing, i tried turning it on and off but the problem persists
Are you using a laptop with internal graphics or desktop w/video card? Im quite certain this is a graphics issue.
Mine is kinda both is a All in one desktop with internal graphics
Ok bare with me....Ive tested on two PC’s with dedicated graphics card and the mod works fine....I think as I said its a hardware issue,.....do u have access to a pc with a dedicated graphics card?
unfortunaly no... this is the only PC in my home that runs Medieval 2, this one run with almost everything on the best graphics possible, only the Anti-Aliasing that i normally turn off, i never suffered a problem like this before in a lot of mods i've played, can i you help at any way ?
Yup we will figure this out.
Can you go to one of your mods that works and open up the CFG file in the main folder of the mod? This is the preference file, you can edit it with notepad. The equivalent file in the DA folder is the "da_kingdoms" file. Go to the secion of the file called "[video]" in your working mod's cfg file...copy all of the attributes under this section and overwrite the same section with these copied attributes in the da_kingdoms cfg file. Launch the game and see if this makes difference, back up the da_kingdoms cfg file before you do it.
Ah I think I found the issue and the fix!!! This is called the "block graphics issue".
Follow the exact same instructions in this thread guys!
Twcenter.net
Except for the three files mentioned, you are extracting them from the DA UI folder:
\mods\Dei_Agminum\data\ui
Please confirm if this works.
I dont have the ui folder in my medieval 2 data folder. I copied the ui folder from the mod into the data folder of the module. this seemed to solve the white block issues. Now the issue is lack of texts here and there. the models look amazing. Hopefully u can sort the issues out.
Excellent great to hear! The fix for the text issue is to do something similiar:
-Go to DA's text folder (Dei_Agminum\data\text) and copy these three files: shared.txt.strings, strat.txt.strings, and tooltips.txt.strings.
-copy them into your main Medieval 2 text folder (Medieval II Total War\data\text). If the text directory is not there in the data folder create a folder and name it text.
The reason these issues are happening to some and not others is because some of us have already extracted all of our Medieval 2 data files and so these files are already there in our main M2TW directory. I will update the installation instructions! Cheers guys.
ATTENTION:
I've updated the installation instructions on how to fix the graphics glitch and the text issue glitch on the campaign map if you are experiencing it.
EDIT: First hotfix now available that fixes all of the mentioned issues.
M'lord i need help, the excutable .bat file said"window cant find kingdoms.exe". I have Med 2 Complete collection version. What should i do?
