Dei Agminum (Armies of God) is an ambitious mod project aimed at becoming the premiere Medieval II Total War Crusades mod. Its origins can be traced back to the Broken Crescent Submod "Jersualem Rising". It will use the Crusades campaign from Kingdoms as a base but will in time morph into its own distinct entity. For now I will concentrate on revamping the Crusades campaign through this mod. This will include renaming existing units, settlements and factions with their historical names, introducing historically accurate buildings and new units and completely remaking unit art/UI (models, textures, banners, screens and etc.) and introducing other assets. For now these are the mod's main priorities.

Description

The very first release of DA featuring the two Crusader factions.

Thanks for pointing that out bro. It was such a low priority, I forgot to change that. Will address that if I release a hotfix or in the next release.

Hi guys, for those of you experiencing the corrupted stratmap issue. Can you try the following.....go into this directory:

Medieval II Total War\mods\Dei_Agminum\data\world\maps\base

delete the file "map.rwm"

Relaunch the game.....if it works, please confirm so I can post this as a part of the installation instructions.

Hi again,
It doesn't work for me. I deleted the map.rwn and launch the game and got the same problem.
When I open my file after the maps.rpm is back again in the directory, but I don't know if it is normal.
Thank you for being so quick to answer and for your work.

Yes, I have kingdoms installed. I also use Steam. Dont really know where to find the specific log :s
For info: it is installed on my E disk (no place on C). I am using others mods and they are working fine. But maybe it is the use of ohter mods which make it crash?

Hello guys, when you go into this directory:

Medieval II Total War\logs

DA's logs should be deposited there. Can one of you who is experiencing the map issue send me their log file named "da_log"? They are just text files.

Just PM me when you are ready and I'll provide my email contact.

Also try this if you are experiencing the map issue ....try disabling Anti-Aliasing in your video settings?

unfortunaly no... this is the only PC in my home that runs Medieval 2, this one run with almost everything on the best graphics possible, only the Anti-Aliasing that i normally turn off, i never suffered a problem like this before in a lot of mods i've played, can i you help at any way ?

Yup we will figure this out.

Can you go to one of your mods that works and open up the CFG file in the main folder of the mod? This is the preference file, you can edit it with notepad. The equivalent file in the DA folder is the "da_kingdoms" file. Go to the secion of the file called "[video]" in your working mod's cfg file...copy all of the attributes under this section and overwrite the same section with these copied attributes in the da_kingdoms cfg file. Launch the game and see if this makes difference, back up the da_kingdoms cfg file before you do it.

Ah I think I found the issue and the fix!!! This is called the "block graphics issue".

Follow the exact same instructions in this thread guys!

Twcenter.net

Except for the three files mentioned, you are extracting them from the DA UI folder:
\mods\Dei_Agminum\data\ui

Please confirm if this works.

I dont have the ui folder in my medieval 2 data folder. I copied the ui folder from the mod into the data folder of the module. this seemed to solve the white block issues. Now the issue is lack of texts here and there. the models look amazing. Hopefully u can sort the issues out.

Excellent great to hear! The fix for the text issue is to do something similiar:

-Go to DA's text folder (Dei_Agminum\data\text) and copy these three files: shared.txt.strings, strat.txt.strings, and tooltips.txt.strings.
-copy them into your main Medieval 2 text folder (Medieval II Total War\data\text). If the text directory is not there in the data folder create a folder and name it text.

The reason these issues are happening to some and not others is because some of us have already extracted all of our Medieval 2 data files and so these files are already there in our main M2TW directory. I will update the installation instructions! Cheers guys.

ATTENTION:

I've updated the installation instructions on how to fix the graphics glitch and the text issue glitch on the campaign map if you are experiencing it.

EDIT: First hotfix now available that fixes all of the mentioned issues.

Hi there can you check your log files for any errors? Did you place all of the mod files in the mods folder?
