In Defence Alliance (DA) you and your teammates will defend your fort from a horde of bots. You will have some minutes to prepare your machine guns and get into positions. After that the attack begins. Your mission? Simply, keep them out of your fort for about 20 min. You really need to save your ammo and teamplay is required. The mechanic must be next to you to feed your gun with ammo or else you will lose time reloading it. There are going to be 6 classes, the Mechanic, the Medic and the Marine class which is separated into 3 sub-classes. Radio commands will help you and your teammates to co-operate more effectively and protect your fort. The MOD is based near-future so do not expect any laser guns or such unrealistic weapons. As for the number of gameplays. We will first finish the current one (Protect your Fort) and then add more.

As DA1.6 approaches public status I took sometime to post about our new Voting System implemented in DA1.6 and coded by our one time dude Dante. First you can view a screenshot by clicking here. And now to the info.

DA1.6 Voting system will give the opportunity to do the following:

Change Map
Kick a player (TimeBan)
Change Enemy Bot Type
Change Bot Number
Everything will be done using a single command from the console. To be more specific the command that need to use is this: 'callvote' and then the action you want. There are 4 actions included.

The actions that exist are:

For example:

'Callvote map dday' - Will start a vote to change map to DA-DDAY.
'Callvote kick aBsOlUt' - Will start a vote to kick abs!?
'Callvote bottype brute' - Will start a vote to change enemies to brutes.
'Callvote numbots 20' - Will start a vote to change bot number to 20.

Once a vote is initiated by a player everyone will receive a small box with the question and what answer to give. We will have to key binds for voting Yes or No. Console commands also exist and they can be accessed by typing 'vote yes' or 'vote no'.

Last but not least there will be 15 seconds to answer the vote system. That's all, it's very easy and fun to use. You'll see in-game!
