This Defcon mod depicts the Cold War during its more turbulent years in the 1980's. US-Soviet relations have greatly deteriorated. The Soviet Union continues its war in Afghanistan. The United States invades Grenada and puts down a Cuban-backed communist government. The Soviets have shot down Korean Air Lines Flight 007. During those turbulent years, the Third World War seemed to be just around the corner. Map edits include the Hawaiian Islands & the Falklands. Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea are part of the Oceania-India faction. v1.0 Factions: United States, NATO-Europe, Soviet Union, Red China, Arab League, & Oceania-India v1.5 Factions: USA-NATO, USSR-WARPAC, Red China, Arab League, Oceania-India, & Argentina-Brazil v1.7 Factions: NATO-USA, NATO-EUROPE, USSR-WARPAC(W), USSR-WARPAC(E), Red China, & Oceania-India
