Hello, everyone! It’s been quite a long time since our last piece of news for Western community, but we haven't wasted any time and made some new features we'd like to share.
The first thing we'd like to introduce is dynamic seasons change. It would be tied to ingame time, but you also (probably) will be able to be set your preferred constant value.
The second one shows winter views at various locations: a snow-covered Pripyat Outskirts, Swamps, Truck Cemetery and a winter night in Limansk. The visual and sound components have been supplemented with new gasmask effects and sounds of footsteps in the snow.
The feature so many people asked for. Fully implemented magazine and load bearing vest systems. The number of pouches depends on the outfit and you'll be able to increase it through the upgrades.
Weapon's visual now depends on its overall condition. Because of the way it was done, it works ONLY for your held weapon. Also, the jamming system was separated to jamming and misfire. The misfire stops the shooting and breaks automatic bursts, jammed weapon requires an ejection.
Small, but immersive feature — fake grass collision, works only for the player.
And last but not least — shader-based lens scope effect. Not as fancy as real 3D scopes, but no performance hit at all. There also were so many complains about new looting animation because it looked too slow — here you can see the actual mechanics. Also, new animations were added and the whole skin process was removed for non-mutant parts.
If one of the desired gifts for Christmas was the release of the modification "Dead Air 1.0", well.. unfortunately, we will not be able to fulfill it. Yep, we still don't have an exact release date and don't know when we will be able to give you any more good news, so consider that as a little Christmas present from us.
