DCI: Last Alliance is a submod for Third Age: Total War, focused on the War of the Last Alliance in the Second Age of Middle-earth.
Hello friends, two heads up of ours:
1) Our mate [Bcw]Btm_Earendil has made an interview with yours truly about modding (with behind the scenes shots from DCI etc), so do feel welcome here: Moddb.com
2) Soon there will come a video presenting our One Ring-features [image is from one of those].
It will be followed by Mordor, and then Númenórean Kingdoms is the final presentation.
Wish you all the best,
regards Ngugi on behalf of the DCI team
Cool
Ngugi, sorry for my English, I have a question. I see many projects about middle Earth, many die and others work for many years and people never see them coming, many people have good ideas and the "Tolkien" community always wanted second and first age mods or campaigns. Many projects, some alive some already dead, many units models, many artistic thing made, and almost all ends on the trash. Can you and your team begin a pool of resources with DCI? Making DCI the starting point for first age and four age campaigns (custom campaigns maybe?), trying to bring others people projects together and share models, ideas and talents together, I remember now "Blood of Numenor", "Dagor Silmarillion", "War of the Silmarils".
Hi nosXw; no worries, I read you clearly.
That projects are discountinued is a sad fact, modding requires a LOT of time and labour, and as we modders are doing this on our free time and as a hobby much real life factors can put a halt to a dream along the way.
Often we modders, as we are not to many, know each other already (I know the leader of the first mention mod, we are friends with alreadyded who makes the second and of the third named mod one of their former members is on our team now; Earl of Memory who made most of our units).
We modders share knowledge and resources with each other, and often we share content such as unit models, 2D or scripts etc when another asks for it.
However, the reason there is not a "super mod" that includes all projects/mods is simply that we each have our own interests and visions. These do usually not mix, much or much at all, and none is interested to sacrafice our/his/hers own vision to enable another project to fulfill theirs (that would not be perfect for them either as they would have to adjust to what we need, etc).
Thus, we help each other out, but each project will operate by itself.
As for DCI:LA the general policy is when we release what we made (with a few exceptions) will be free to use by other mods, and that shall hopefully help them along if we have anything they're interested in :)
Oh Isildur, your folly will be your undoing!
This is so epic!
Oh corruption mechanic :D
And more ^^

Anyone have the mod's ancillaries names to use them on campaign?
