This is a release of the first alpha version of the mod ( a lot of things are WIP) . I launched small server for testing to which your can connect by running "DUBG - Start Game". There is a couple of bugs that will be fixed in future versions, as well as improved weapon balance.
When the match starts drop from the ship by pressing the Use key and head over to the green zone on the map. Break boxes to get weapons, ammo, armor and medpacks. To use medpack, press "E". It takes several seconds before you get health boost from the medpack after using it. As the match progresses, the game zone will get smaller and smaller. You can see the zone boundary on map. To see the map, press Tab.
Archive contains free version of Doom 2 iwad - freedoom2. If you have the original Doom 2 wad, place it into the mod folder and select it when starting the game.
Mod contorls are:
Shift - Sprint
E - Use medpacks
[ , ] - Select medpack type
F - Use (Drop from ship or interact with doors and elevators)
X - Drop weapon
Tab - Map
The map looks great and besides for some sparse texture issues nothing is really wrong with it. Two things I would like to mention is some actions don't work, like reload or drop weapon. As well as bots not attacking you (or at least not doing damage). I like where the mod is going and can't wait to see it improve.
OMG
This mod is pretty cool, but bots could be significantly improved. Something as simple as making them destroy crates on contact and starting out with a pistol and some ammo would already make them very worthy opponents.
For navigation, there's not much that can be done, but my TDBots do have waypointing support: Zandronum.com
I really doubt anything can be done to avoid them walking into the danger zone though, but I'll try investigating to see if they could be removed if they detect they are in there. If you don't mind I could write support myself as long as you are willing to merge the changes into the main project for easier updating (I promise they aren't intrusive, and can be removed easily and quickly if needed).
Also, as skdursh mentioned, I made a DUBG mod myself long ago, and if you could change something to make it a bit more obvious that they aren't the same mod, I would be very thankful. Even a suggestion so I can change the name would be acceptable too.
EDIT: ACS code is closed source and obfuscated on top of that, helping out became much harder :/
