Are you using Vanilla texture sizes still? Those fighters look so crisp.

The details on these space-mig are astonishing.
the bigger ships are just as detailed - you just see them from farther away usually, so it's harder to tell. there's also lots of neat illumination tricks like the retivyy's hangar being lit from the inside (you can kinda see it in Moddb.com) as well as all the little lights and indicators on stuff like the landing strips and bridge.
