And... the model is complete! :)
At 996 vertices, it just barely made it under the limit.
Next thing to do now is to get it textured. I am actually going to use the texture from the Wii version, but to start with I will use a different one for testing purposes. Then I've just gotta hope I can get it working in the game.
One thing that's confusing me a little is that I looked at some of the other md3 ships, and ones like the Raven's Claw are actually OVER 1000 vertices. So that's a bit odd. Anyway, point is that the model itself is complete which is certainly a big weight off my back. At the very least, its something that another modder could potentially make work if for some reason I'm not able to.
So hopefully there will be another pic soon showing a texture test and then an in game test.

Thanks. And same to you. Its good to have at least gotten the long part out of the way. And at the very least, a low vertices model does now exist. So even if I can't get it working as an md3, someone else may be able to.
Hopefully that won't be necessary though.
