Hey All!
And welcome to the 'Creation Of Concept Art [1]' This is a little brief on how i created the concept, the reason i have decided to do this instead of writing about the creation of models is because i had a lot of fun creating this concept and eventually I ended up with an original style,

Step 1
I begun by creating the background, this was quite easy to do and was done within about 30 minutes.

Step 2
I begun the drawing by simply sketching out some basic construction lines, but these were far to clean and boring.

Step 3
Next I made the drawing much more interesting by using two different thicknesses of pens to add shading and more detail to the image, the knack to it was to forget real details but instead fake it by using scribbles. At this stage I also added the ships.

Step 4
The largest step of all, this was compositing everything done so far as well as adding color. Adding color was not hard as i wanted to use only whites/blacks and grays in the ships. Next was adding the engine trails which I decided to keep red to give some richness to the image.

And there we have it,
till' next time.
