Short about the mod:
This Xenite mod consists of bug fixes, units, buildings, ai modification and a new story line with 14 missions. This is an alternative sequel to the Shadowhand. I designed this mod to win against 7 Machine opponents with Xenite side.

Short about the story:
The Xenite civilization was destroyed by a new enemy the Machine. A small group of the Xenite civilization as a few civilians survived the invasion. Your mission is simple: rebuild and destroy the enemy!

How to install the Mod:

If you have installed Xenite mod before that was below vX2.0 in dark reign 1.8.2, you must delete all old mod folders first!!!:

1. The way to install mods for Dark Reign has changed since 1.8.2 community beta. You need Dark Reign 1.8.2 first and this mod may already be included in the v1.8.2 patch. However it's using an older version of the xenite mod. Therefore follow step 2:
2. Just put the 3 folders into the dark reign 1.8.2 folder and click replace all.
3. Start the mod with the "DarkReignLauncher.exe" which is in dark reign/launcher. You find it under "Mods" Light Evolution of Xenite and Heavy Evolution of Xenite. The "Heavy" let's the computer opponents build buildings until there's no more free space on the map left. The "Light" in the other hand has a limited amount of buildings which the computer opponent can build.
4. Should you play custom multiplayer maps, it is wise to take a look into the folder of the map first, dark/scenario/multi/ for example the map name "3chem21t" you will find files like: " 3chem21t.map, 3chem21t.scn, tactics.mm, tactics.pcx " This means this multiplayer map is fine and the mod will work with this map just fine! Should you however find more than 3 files like build.txt, unit.txt, aip file, you will have to remove these first before you can play the mod with this map. This is because this map was designed for the original dark reign and will collide with the mod and cause crashes or the mod won't work properly! Some maps might not work at all if aip file is registered and you remove it, before you remove it you should go to construction kit and unset aip for a particular team then save and then remove these files (if complicated, play another map xD).
5. When you play multiplayer online with somebody, make sure both have the same version of the mod!!! This will not work otherwise! It also matters that both players start the right mod version, Light or Heavy.

Mod game changes:
*The KI (A.I. or computer opponent) is more intelligent and aggressive. Only by destroying its Headquarters and Construction Rigs, doesn't cripple them anymore! Now it can construct Construction Rigs in every unit facility.
*Construction Rig, Harvester, Headquarters 1 and Crystalium Filter Facility now cost 0 credits (all sides). You can start a mission with 0 credits! Although if you play with Machine side, you want to start a mission at least with 1 credit, otherwise it won't repair its own buildings. It's a bug and an option (easier to win for example).
*Every side has a Hover Freighter as standard now, which also can overcome every altitude (super hover). It takes 5 loads to get 10000c! Unloading water at the Water Launch Pad is now very quickly (fixes the common bug with the stuck Freighters near the Water Launch Pad). Therefore pumping water takes longer for this.
*Taelon disabled. You cannot harvest any Taelon anymore. I disabled it because this feature confuses the computer oppenents, like stuck freighters near the Taelon Power Generator and skiped free water springs.
*The computer oppenents don't receive any Bonus Credits anymore! They need to use Freighters and they're very good at it now!
*4 more terrains available! Aust, Asteroid, Volcanic and Auralien (from Dark Reign 1.7 by Satz). I improved them and fixed a bug.
*Rule which didn't allow you to build buildings near the enemy is removed.
*In the Mod Launcher you can choose from Level 1 to Level 4 of the Xenite Mod. "Light" means the computer opponent builds only a limited amount of buildings. "Heavy" will build until there's no more space to build.
*Mod differences:
Level 1 (vX2.0) : Original mod
Level 2 (vXH2.0) : The A.I. computer opponent has no limitation building buildings.
Level 3 (vXR2.0) : Realistic mode (Xenite has no phase mode ability and no morph ablity for scout).
Level 4 (vXRH2.0) : Realistic mode and computer opponent has no limitation building buildings.

Changes in Evolution of Xenite 2 X2.01:
A complete mod rework. It's more a remake than a sequel to Evolution of Xenite 1. It comes with a lot of changes. Units, Buildings, A.I. behavior. I designed this mod so that you can win with Xenite against 7 machine opponents! Machine side has a Shock Wave unit, it has less range, but makes more damage. It can only attack buildings, this ensures that the A.I. doesn't damage its own buildings if an enemy unit is near its base. The challenge is of course to build your Xenite base fast! Else you'll be obliterated by Shock Waves pretty quick!
What I never mentioned about the Barbarin, Darkside and Nemesis sides: They're not really relevant to the Xenite mod. I only changed the A.I. behavior for these sides. They have no chance against Xenite or Machine of course.
