Dark Interval is a restoration/revision mod that lets you play Half-Life 2 as it could have been. Using Valve's early concepts, we're creating new maps, models, textures, and custom dialogue. The mod is released in episodes, the most recent being Dark Interval: Part I - an intro chapter to the bigger story.

Thanks to the feedback that was already gathered in the short time since the initial release, I've compiled a patch that addresses some issues and is intended to generally improve on the existing maps. Among other things, the patch adds autosave triggers to the four storyline maps; fixes several issues such as players getting stuck in the elevator in the factory, players getting to the NODRAW area of the apartament building on the fourth map, and some other things. Thanks to the talented A-Shift, the patch also replaces original HL2 posters that feature Consul and the old design for the metropolice, with updated versions that feature slightly younger Breen and modern metropolice units; this change is mainly needed to keep things more consistent. The patch is also intended as an improvement on exterior and interior level design - I fixed some issues with lighting on several maps, added some extra space - explore and find it!

You can download the patch from the Files section. The patch is cumulative, i. e. it includes the chapter/dialogue caption fixes from the first hotfix, so if you haven't downloaded the hotfix yet, you don't need to - just download and apply that latest patch, overwriting the existing files in the process.

Thanks again for your feedback, and thanks for showing interest in the mod - it means a lot.
