Dark Interval is a restoration/revision mod that lets you play Half-Life 2 as it could have been. Using Valve's early concepts, we're creating new maps, models, textures, and custom dialogue. The mod is released in episodes, the most recent being Dark Interval: Part I - an intro chapter to the bigger story.

Thank you for your work, it is really good to see someone actually helping Cvoxalury in his labour.
In-game the ceiling ones don't look like they're stuck in their own base/mounting. But I'm guessing that will be fixed at some point.
These look really cool. Are they used by the Combine or the Resistance?
probably both since in the leak version the combine used X human soldiers instead of trans human synths with recycled / modified human weaponry

The ones seen in the game are leftover from before the 7 Hour War in an old military checkpoint. They were probably there for several years before the Combine invaded, when people were hiding in walled-off cities from the dangerous aliens that got teleported to Earth.
