You play as one of the human rebels - Frank Harrison, who's currently in his hideout outside City 17. He's woken up by the Citadel explosion, caused by Dr. Freeman and Alyx Vance at the end of Half-Life 2. The evacuation of the City 17 is in progress and he has to leave his house to fight his way back to City 17 to join an evacuation train while there's still some time. Gather your supplies and an old HEV suit and explore the territories of the City 17. Play your role in the events, that took place during the original Half-Life 2: Episodes 1 and 2.

This patch doesn't work at all...!

Still experiencing -> "Could not load library client." when launching the mod.

Make sure that you have installed DangerousWorld version 2.0
and applied the patch as explained in the Readme.txt provided
within the archive.

I cleaned my DangerousWorld folder, reinstalled 2.0, applied my
Source SDK 2013 patch and it works.

If you did so, try restarting Steam and launch it again.

Again, I cleared my DangerousWorld folder, reinstalled version 2.0, applied my fix
DangerousWorld Patch - Source SDK 2013 and played through the entire campaign.

It works fine.

Make sure you are using the 'Upcoming' beta of the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer.

You should also verify the integrity of your game's files. This might be the cause
of your crashes, as you have invalid/corrupt game files.

You can perform this check by doing the following:

- Right-click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer.
- Go to the "Local Files" tab.
- Click "Verify Integrity of Tool cache..."
- Wait until game cache inspection is completed.

If you experienced crashes/bugs, I would appreciate if you could give me more
information about the nature of these events.

I downloaded Dangerous World 2.0, along with the Source SDK 2013 patch.

It works.

Make sure you are using the 'Upcoming' beta of the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer.

- Right-click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer.
- Go to the "Betas" tab.
- Change "Select the beta you would opt into" option to "incoming"
- Restart Steam.

You should also verify the integrity of your game's files. This might be the cause of your crashes, as you have invalid/corrupt game files.

I'm getting the same error as well: I get past the initial intro movie, and then the game crashes after briefly displaying the "Loading..." screen.

I've done everything you suggested. I've got the Upcoming beta of the SDK Base 2013 SP, verified the cache's integrity, set DangerousWorld to allow debug (which actually causes it to crash earlier and without the library client message window, believe it or not), AND tested other mods with similar gameinfo.txt fixes to see if it might be an SDK issue and not a mod issue (used Research and Development and 1187), but it looks like it's definitely an issue with the fix.

Never mind. Rebooted Steam after allowing debug again, and it works!

I know a lot of people have said this before, but I'm having the same issues as the people above. I've installed the patch and unzipped it, moving the entire thing to the dangerous world folder. I've verified my Source SDK 2013 Singleplayer, I've restarted steam, yet the game still crashes shortly after starting it. I'm not sure I've understood the installation process of this patch correctly, can anyone help?

From what you've just said here it sounds like you forgot to set your SDK 2013 beta options to "upcomming" I also made mistake myself having thought I already did it but I hadn't resulting in the same issue you just said you had. I corrected the mistake and it ran fine.

I have a simple question, I dont know if this patch fixes it or not.
I'm running it fine on my PC,BUT when, say a barrel explodes, or the ATC (Tank thing) at the start, there is the sound of the explosion, but all i see is a big cloud of red 'X' s. Anyone have any ideas?
