Gameplay plan so far; Each Great Battle in the books will be waves of stacks, some of which will have awesome generals (Glaurung, Gothmog, Balrogs, Sauron, Battle Trolls maybe, etc.) but most will be crappy Orcs and such that are easy enough to mop up if there are still enough ally factions around to help out. Helping allies survive these waves, and surviving yourself, as best as possible and rebuilding inbetween these waves to survive the next will be a major point in gameplay in Beleriand, or obviously allying with Morgoth. In the expanded map/restricted map campaigns running away and hiding in Middle-Earth may be wiser unless you ally with Morgoth. The Host of Feanor is always at war with Morgoth and whomever owns a Silmaril (one will be floating around after Beren dies). I will need gameplay testers soon so I am posting here.

List any bugs here from First Age campaigns only, be brief, don't waste your time sugar coating it to spare my feelings.

Hi, a few days ago, I was playing as the kingdom of Gondolin and I wanted to move my troops to the south. Then, I noticed that there was a boat just before thé city at the boarder of the mountains, eventhough there was no water. I entered in thé boat with my troops but then, I couldnt get out. Is that normal, or is it a bug ?

I was wondering If you could make thé game more matching with thé actual story of middle earth.

For example : adding more ancilaries to specific characters! or calling orc waves (matching in time and space with thé actual story of middle earth)

Also, it would be great if certain characters could get some quests that match with the story. Or even a separated campaign similar to the quest of thé ring in TATW!

What could also bé great (but maybe difficult to instore) is if generals could interact with each other

I put those ships there as a test to keep Gondolin alive, they are an intentional bug. They will be removed in the next release since I don't think they actually do anything beneficial.

The story scripts are simple right now, eventually the gameplay will be more lore accurate and hopefully feel more like the books playing out.

More scripts, traits, ancillaries, etc. will be added eventually. Balance and stability are the main concerns now.

On the Dagor Beleriand; First Age campaign (the one with the restricted map) I noticed that the generals for the Gondolin faction speak as though they are Orcs. Haven't played any other factions in that campaign so I can't say if there are any repeats.

In that same campaign I just got a CTD immediatley after starting a battle with a Balrog.

Is it normal that, even though I upgrade my artists studio in Gondolin, the elven culture still decreases?

I just experienced a CTD in the campaign immediately upon starting a battle with my Gondolin army attacking an army of Spiders.

No, I will check it out.

With z3n or G5 BAI? With Windows Vista/8+ G5 BAI causes random CTDs. I am not sure about z3n BAI yet, not enough feedback yet to know. Eventually I will release multiple test BAIs to see which works best for Vista/8+. I use Windows 7 so I don't get these crashes. You can try running the game in Compatibility Mode with Win XP or 7, that may help.

I was running z3n on windows 10. I also experienced a CTD shortly after upon entering a battle with an army that contained wolves. I will try the battle again in compatibility again and let you know how that works out. I love your mod and am excited to see what future updates have in store.

I tried running the same battle in compatibility mode for both Win XP and 7 and it CTD on both. :/

Playing as Doriath all of a sudden the button images were oddly changing when I was reading different unit info cards and then I experienced a CTD. I hope this helps and I am very much looking forward to the next release! Fingers crossed that it is soon! :)

I was playing as Gondolin and as turn 216 started the cursor was immediately stuck as the twirling ring, with me being unable to do anything but double click on generals and settlements to see their traits.
