You might've used it in the wrong loadorder, what error message did you get?
here's the error "Script error, "Brutal Doom Power Fantasy Final v2.pk3:cvarinfo" line 1:
cvar 'bd_bloodamount' already exists"

I've updated the current file to a new version, and made it that the folder order also is the load order. I'm not sure about the older version, but I'm guessing it's probably the order the folder is.
