Another hotfix will be coming soon.
Version A1.4 will rectify conflict with DLC plane selection and more optional paks to simplify installation and features.

Hey Gamingroach, is it possible to make a standalone mod for the MGP that seriously boosts the range and projectile speed for the MGP bullets only? I'm willing to pay for your time. Thanks.

My MGP revision in this mod already has what you have mentioned other than the increased rate of fire and increased bullet spread.

That's what I meant by standalone mod, something that only affects bullet range and speed, not spread. I am willing to pay for this mod, so if you or any modders you think can do it I'd appreciate the help.

With only EOM_EnhancedGunplay_SPW_P installed, displaying RafaleM or j39e in the sortie screen will cause a crash.

Do you have any other mods installed?

The SPW module only touches SPW uasset files, it you're crashing on plane selection of those particular planes then their pawn uassets must've been touched by something else.

I'll double check on my end if I left over any stray pawn files in the pak.

I just checked and tested, the SPW pak has no plane pawn files. No crashes on my end with that pak file module only enabled in my test. I can select and fly both the RafaleM and J39E with no issues on my side.

I'm getting a crash with certain aircraft too- Running

Got a crash from the F-35C. The SPW pack makes the F/A 18 Block III crash as well. Gripen and Rafale kept crashing too but I'm not 100% sure what causes those.

No joy on verifying files either.

Selecting the F-35 with only EnhancedGunplay and EnhancedGunplay_AI causes a crash as well. Didn't check any other planes.

Further testing appears to show EnhancedGunplay_Raycast and EnhancedGunplay_AI both result in crashes without anything else.(?)

Can you give details of what game version and list of DLCs you have?

Post a crash log. When the game crashes, press the ok button, open notepad and Ctrl+V and then copy and paste it here in the comments section so I can see. It should give useful information on whats causing the crash.

Also because this mod modifies plane pawn files its likely any other mods installed that also modifies those pawns with a higher load order may trigger a crash.

Also this mod has been tested with all other DLCs except the latest aircraft DLC that adds the new Mig-35D, F-18F Block 3 and F-2A Super Kai. Which have newer data tables and are untested for compatibility.

Latest Steam version(2022-01-20? don't know how to check the number), all DLC.
This crash occurred with only EnhancedGunplay and EnhancedGunplay_AI, while selecting the F-35.

It's an issue with HDDs, apparently. It cleared up after I transferred the game to an SSD.

Getting a crash on plane selection specifically with the Rafale/Gripen/Hornet Block III LACMs (the only SPW they all share) and the Mirage/Tomcat GPBs (other planes with GPBs seem to work perfectly fine). It seems to be only those two paks (tested with the newest modular SPW paks). The proposed solution above to migrate to an SSD isn't available for me. Love the mod and the ideas behind it! Just odd that it's only those two weapons having issues for me.

Hey there, there isn't much I can do to mitigate this problem. Others in the AC7 modding community have confirmed mods that do deep modifications such as SPW plane and mesh swapping have run into this same issue of the game refusing to load modded assets when the game is installed in a traditional hard-disk drive.

My suggestion is to get an SSD if your budget allows, its worth the time and performance IMO.

I have investigated more into this certain bug and it appears the Asynchronous Loader if the engine has a hard time getting modded assets to load in time before a timeout window and thus causing a crash with modded assets loading from an HDD because its to slow to respond in time.

first comment to you, mr. corrected actual rate of fire of the aircraft gun should be applied when applying the modification, but somehow it seems to be applied at 3600 rounds like the enemy AI instead of 6000 rounds per minute.

Its the engine limitations set by the game developers. The max tick rate is 60 per second so the rate of fire is tied to it.

The rest is pretty much self explanatory as all data will be available in plain sight to edit to your taste.

Like always awesome work! Love the new A3.1 update. I believe mission timer pak "EOM_EnhancedGunplay_MissionTime_P.pak" is missing from A3.1 version. This was still featured in A3.0 version of the mod.

Is this intensional, or perhaps accidentally not included in A3.1 update?

Hi there, yeah MissionTime pak was removed due to excessive reporting that mission times were too long. But also that the pak is now obsolete since its now merged into individual ace of aces mission pak files.

I will be doing a future update that reverts back to vanilla timelimits and making optional ones for those that prefer longer mission duration.

Update still in progress. Currently working on new difficulty and more AI buffs. TopGun DLC compatibility fixes are already done. So maybe this weekend or sooner release will go live, but no ETA.

No. Multiplayer weapons have been re-balanced. Next updates will be Multiplayer Focused. Including adding new maps maybe than replace.

Set the PW mod to a higher load order by adding more ~ when renaming for example:

Its been fixed long ago which will be released in the new version A5. This page will be archived in the near future.
No ETA release window since I'm still experimenting with the game's engine script bytecode and AI balance testing.
