CMT was formed shortly after the release of Halo 2, with the idea of being the closest thing on PC to Halo 2. The Team began working on Coagulation, hoping that it would appeal to all players. The original Team name created in November of 2004, therefore, was Coagulation Mapping Team. As the team grew, the name changed to Conversion Map Team, as we began work on many more maps, including Wartorn Cove. Through the months, people left and joined, but by the end of June of 2005, H2 Coagulation was released. Although it was successful, the team collapsed after our many months of hard work, and stopped production almost impediatly after the release. It wasn't until Febuary of 2006, that the team reformed. When Masters decided to do a single player mod by himself, he began to call upon the past CMT members to assist, which resulted in the reforming of a new CMT, Custom Mapping Team, one which used custom content, rather than ripped.

Report RSS Regarding Old CMT Content

Quote: Original message by: Masters1337 Lately I've been getting flooded with questions from people about old content, asking if they can have it. If we want you to have it, we will release it. Most of our older content we no longer have. We will not distribute H2 sounds either, unless they have already been released and used in multiple maps (anims sounds, fire effects).

Don't ask us for content, we have plans to release ALOT of stuff and we will deal with it ourselves. Pestering us for it to make your project special and unique equals an automatic no. We know what you want, and we have our own opinions on whether or not certain things will do the community good, and which ones are bad. We're not interested on your opinions on the matter.

We do not want anyone in this community to have acess to our content to make their maps or groups extra special. This is our work, and we want everyone to enjoy and use it equally.
