Nothing groundbreaking, just a simple corridor :3
It might be that the lighting wouldn't be like that if someone in the real world would live there. Also we are forced to use walk through the darkness there a bit.
But games musn't be realistic, I like that hallway and the atmosphere is just MUCH MORE important than realism in a horror game. I think this place is also perfect for a scary sequence (of your choice ;P). Imo you can keep it like that, maybe just add light rays from the window.
