I thought this kind of weapon would be useless against tanks and infantry fighting vehicle...... Is it design to shoot Humvee?

Well it can, but it is designed against the Strykers/Bradley/M1A2/emplacements it is an Anti-tank weapon after all

M1A2 Abrams? Are you sure? Because that would be difficult as hell. Even modern 125mm Russian APFSDS would have hard time penetrating frontal armour of M1A2. For a gun of 100mm calibre, it would require both surprise rear attack and some sheer luck. Today, 100mm guns serve purpose of all-round artilery rather than anti-tank, though Chinese claim to be able to penetrate frontal T-72 armour with their gun.

PS: If it's a copy of Soviet T-12 (and it most likely is, Chinese never bothered with copyrights), then it should have longer barrel ;)

Yes I do agree barrel will need to be longer

Russian sholder fired RPG-29s in Iraq have penetrated the frontal armor of Britich Challenger 2 MBTs which use the exact same type of CHABRAM armor as the Abrams M1A1 & A2 tanks. With the proper warhead & velocity this type of AT gun can kill an Abrams.

Here is some photographic evidence of how easily M1A1 & A2 Abrams tanks can be knocked out >>

Phen, the Abrams uses a classified composite made up of ceramic type and alloy, along with a layer of depleted uranium. Those tanks you posted have been scuttled by their crews. And nobody has used chobam since the 80s. Armor has improved in technology and quality 100 fold since chobam(chobiam?) whatever. The RPG29 would not be able to penetrate the frontal armor of an Abrams. I'd trust my life to that statement knowing what I know.

Hmm. The barrell should be definitely longer and fatter. Also the muzzle device looks different.

Anyway. Nice addition, even though I would have prefered SACLOS-guided HJ-8 ATGM as the PLA's AT-weapon...

Oh, and before I forget; the recoil-damper beneath the barrel is also not present? Or it's also recoiled back, which wouldnt be realistic...

Good work anyway. Keep it up!

There are more than one version of this AT gun, some have the recoil-damper some do not. The more modern pictures we used as our reference did not.

Also there are 2 types of muzzle devices, and we choose one its in the second picture Hongjian posted.

It looks like a reskined 57mm. The recoil-damper beneath the barrel is not present. It looks bad right now, but take it as constructive criticism :D

Just lengthen the barrel and add a recoil-damper, then it will look good and proper.

Definately looks too small and quite out of proportions, but otherwise good work.

Will this be static like the American TOW, or will it be movable in some way? I only ask because it looks like it weighs far too much to be moved by hand.

It will be movable like 57mm and Pak38 from VCoH.

But both those guns weigh under 1100kg, compared to this which weighs 3700 kg. There's no way a few soldiers could push it across uneven ground.

For the game mechanics to properly work it will have to be able to move... therefore they will be super soldiers! Same goes for magical reloading with shells that randomly appear (same as vCoH) etc...

Could use a bit of work, image makes it look no larger than a 57mm AT and I even think your barrel is taken right off the Pak 38. The Type 86 in reality is fairly mammoth in respect to other anti-tank guns.

That has a barrel way too tiny to be a Type 86/MT12.

But regardless, MT12 had been proven effective, it lined up 2 Abramses and a Bradly @ Basra, 2003. I see no problem with it being used in modern day. It is a gun superior to the standard T55's D10T variations.

can they camouflage themselves like Pak38 ? It would be more interesting to use. Also, can you guys can change its caliber to 125mm (don't change its statics, change the unit's name a bit only)? because the size of model doesn't matter (as told) and the 125mm will obviously out range 105mm guns on the other vehicles.
