Ive been playing coh with an emulator for some time , screw steam :)
will continue to as well and yes i own the game.
Having a play with steam assets and original and it seems to work thus far, now to try "LAN" you know good old fashioned local area network no internet required :).
I have no Objects-Text in the Campaign.
Like: "Destroy this", "Capture this" and so on.

Heck!? Heres what mine said.."The cabinet file 'disk1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used.This could indicate a Network error,an error reading from the CD-ROM,or a problem with this package." Why does it say that!

Did you download the new Steam version of CoH? If not then you should do that first.

Launch it manually, it won't launch automatically when you exit the installer.
To launch it manually, go to your CoH root folder and then into your ModernCombat folder. There should be a file there named "Modern Combat Launcher.bat". Click it.
My root folder for example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch".
So my BAT file would be here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch\ModernCombat\Modern Combat Launcher.bat".
If you want a shortcut on your desktop, just create a shortcut to this BAT file. :)

Yeah you found my youtube channel! I also found the mod (finally, thanks for your help). But it would be a little better if next to you could make a desktop shortcut on your own, or at least let it launch on its own? Great mod btw.
Our installer doesn't support custom shortcuts yet (we lost our proper launcher when our server crashed a few months ago and had to start again from scratch). A BAT is much more user-friendly than what we had before though.

Yep, should be able to. It's quite a large file though, make sure you have a stable internet connection when you're initially downloading it.

Will Modern Combat replace the original WW2 tipe game ??? Then i install it .
It's completely modular and doesn't overwrite any existing files. So you can switch between MC and regular CoH any time you want.

MC will work with either the old or new (Steam) versions, as long as they're fully patched to v2.602 or v2.700 respectively.
If the mod content isn't showing up, then it's either been installed in the wrong location or hasn't been launched properly.
How did you start it up? Did you use the special BAT file?

Can someone help me? I installed the mod normally with no complications.
However when i try to play a skirmish game to test it, the engineers' textures are flying all over my screen.... I can't explain it any other way. Repairing the instalation through the installer didnt seem to help. Nor did re-installing. Should i re-download? Please tell me there is another way to fix this. It took me 6 hours to dl...
Ok I am retarded :P I knew I am not supposed to play mods on full graphics but I went ahead and did it anyway and that was the cause of the problem. Haha :D
Only the shader mate, aside from that you can run the mod on whatever settings you want. :)
Just make sure the graphics shader is always set to "high".
i downloaded the new steam verison and got mc up and running but playing the ai in skimrish the game kills the ai 5sec into the game. please help!!!

I have tried to run the (Modern Combat 1016 Installer) and gets an error message right off the bat that says: "cannot access network location steamapps/common/Company of Heroes Relaunch".I downloaded my game (company of heroes)from torrent site so any solution please?

i have issues playing multiplayer
i launched the game and invited my friend who installed the same as me(MC 1.016 / COH relaunch 2.700) but an error pops up saying that he have received invitation but he cannot join my game
also i cannot find any game on the server browser, although i think there should be at least a few servers online

Yeah, that seems to be an issue with the new Steam release of CoH. Just browse the multiplayer lobby and you'll be able to join his game.
Can I still play this even if my CoH is not Steam version? I only want to play offline. No need for online games blah blah and such. I just need to play with AI...
Should be able to, just make sure you input the right directory (your non-Steam CoH root folder) when installing.

Some, yeah, although it can be a bit hard to find a game unless you join our Steam group.
