Short but important update about general promotions and new ways of using em.

First. I'm very glad to introduce you our new gamepaly video, showing some soviet things we've made so far. Make sure to check our Video section.
Also there is one very important post in our forum. If i were you, i'd be already there. Don't tell meh i haven't warned you, and if you don't - Don't blame meh.
Okay. now it's time to talk about general promotions.
I know lots of people who don't use em in original ZH and still winnig. in Vengeance ignoring special powers will lead to lose. Thats becouse powers are opening new units for game. and without em you will be playing with just a bunch of basic units
So to show you on example...

There will be 3 groups of General Promotions (GP for short)

1st group is on the top. For Soviet Union there will be 3 powers to chose. You will be able to take only one.
It's Aircraft support, Infantry Support, & Vehicle support.
Each of this powers will grant it's own bonuses, upgrades etc. Not like old and useless infantry training bonus in ZH

Second part is Unit one.
As you see it is divided into 4 columns and 3 rows
Each column represents specialization. They are Attack, Defence, Spec Ops and (classified)
rows represents unit types. Infantry, Vehicle & Aircraft.
So for example on the cross of Aircraft & Attack there will be Soviet Paradrop plane. Defence & Aircraft - Shika Pika Helicopter. Spec Ops & Aircraft - Kasatka Covert ops helicopter.
As you see 12 units wouldn't be avalible without using GP. Also as you can see you cannot build all units during only 1 play. It becomes harder to predict enemy's attack style and also leaves great field of experementation and tactic manuvers.
The third section is special one and will be the same for all factions.
First it will give you authorization to use mercenaries. Powerfull and deadly in hands of skilled commander, they can be nice tool of destruction.
Second one is an "Fix'a'Bug" upgrade that will fix most "bugs" in prototype units. But be warned that both of this GP's are costs much. so...choose wisely.

what kind of units will the new reich have? is this like the third reich germany?

thats what i was thinking i think they should have like mostly infantry with combat rifles (like in WWII) and expensive but powerful tanks (like in WWII) because in WWII the germans focused on quality not quantity they believed that with a small group of good tanks they could beat the allies' big group of badly made tanks and it worked for awhile but then the allies bombed them with aircraft.

if any of u are confused here is a summary: basically when u start out the game u get to choose between 3 choices aircraft, infantry, and vehicles (and maybe navy.) then u get to choose a unit under a certain category for example: if u choose aircraft for the first one then choose for the unit infantry u would get a para-trooper plane or something like that. this certain peice of news here is only for SU the other factions will have something unique.
