The Past Ain't What It Used To Be... The first Command & Conquer received its last official update on the 21st of June, 1996. Since then, the game has been ported to Windows (as "Gold" version), and re-released in the big "The First Decade" collection pack, but has never received any more bug fixes. The C&C Gold Patch 1.06 project aims to bring this classic into the new millennium, by fixing the old bugs, supporting higher resolutions, and adding new modding and mapping possibilities. It also contains an addon-based language system, allowing anyone to create translation packs for the game.

Description

The previously-hidden Funpark dinosaur missions are now easily accessible in the Covert Operations' "New Missions" menu, as a single item. To accomplish this, a lot of previously hardcoded rules had to be made customizable.

To fully emulate the original possibilities of the dinosaur campaign, these new features had to be implemented:
-Custom colours for the Houses; this mission shows GDI recoloured to silver. The house used for the dinosaurs, Special, has its radar colours changed so the dinosaurs appear red on the radar.
-Removal of single player tech tree restrictions, allowing the player access to everything available in multiplay. This was especially needed for the Nod version of the Funpark campaign, to allow access to helicopters, Chem-Warriors, Surface-to-Surface Missile launchers, etc.
-Custom radar logo, overriding the house logo with the dinosaur one
-Minicampaign system, that lets missions from the New Missions list continue to a next mission without returning to the main menu in between.
