A massive rip in the in the very fabric of reality was caused inadvertently by the Scrins use of their rift weapon. This anomaly would eventually be known has the Dimensional rift. The effects were devastating, the time line was shattered and suddenly people, events, vehicles even buildings suddenly ceased to exist. Suddenly both GDI & Nod had vastly altered armies. Old technology was mixed in with the new, briefly the war was suspended, has both armies struggled to come to terms with both their loses and their new additions. And what of the Scrin? completely unaffected! It was 3 weeks after the dimensional rift that the first skirmish occurred. Nod forces destroyed a relief convoy that was moving to assist a small GDI outpost, all personnel were lost. Belatedly GDI declared war on Nod, the tools of war may have change, but Tiberium was still present, Kane still alive and mankind's future still uncertain.

The Eradicator Hexapod is causing the expected issues.

Has is the case with Kane's Wrath, once one has been built, it is basically a never ending stream, because has soon has one is destroyed, another one is immediately being constructed.

The issue is less that it is difficult to destroy, but more that it narrows the Scrin's late game into an extremely predictable 'Kane's Wrath style' affair.

My main interest with adding the Hexapod was to experiment with the Mind control Hexapod (this was inspired by TWA mind control Hexapod), however even myself I find constantly build Hexapods, so something has to be done.

Please note that there is no issue with the Scrin ship. It is not highly customisable, it cannot be protected from imminent defeat by using the Phase support power on it, and it cannot be healed by a dozen plus Corrupter's, making it near invulnerable!

Here are the proposals:

  1. Add a timed restriction that comes into place once the Hexapod has been destroyed. Basically this would lock the Warp Chasm's Hexapod button for a period of time (between 4-7 minutes), and also a timer would show up in your support power buttons, to let you know how long you must wait before you can build another Hexapod.
  2. Remove the Warp Chasm, and instead have the Hexapod has a summoned ability similar to the Mothership. For balance purposes, you would only be able to summon the Hexapod within a certain range of the Signal transmitter (the structure that summons the Mothership). Also like the Mothership, you will only be able to summon a single Hexapod at a time (if you have a Hexapod, the button to summon another Hexapod is greyed out, regardless has to whether the time has passed for the support power to recharge.
  3. Remove the Hexapod and Warp Chasm completely. The Hexapod would show up has an extremely rare crate item, although only the Scrin would be able to make full use of it.

Feel free to add your input and suggestions.

PS: If nobody bothers, then I will make a decision based on how I feel,

Just give others something like hexapod . Mamonth MK2 for GDI and Montauk for NOD. This will be good.
