“Evolution of Combat” (formerly known as Combat Evolved) is a mod aspiring to provide the best movie-like lightsaber combat ever seen in a video game.

It features a new saber system that is based on slow-paced duels with manual blocking and contains some of the best models and maps available for Jedi Academy. To bring the Star Wars experience to perfection, JA's unrealistic sound effects are replaced.

Guess what - Combat Evolved (Evolution of Combat) makes great progress and will be released as a public beta in September 2009!

The first release will include the new, original saber system (hopefully bug-free) together with new graphics and sound effects. Also, a bunch of high quality models and maps will be included.

One more thing: If you are into Jedi Academy HUD development, make sure to contact us. We could use your help since we want the HUD to be as beautiful as possible.

Also, a second trailer is in the works which will be released in the next few weeks.

i maked the code work right.. just only one problem this days it is hard to find some one who can do codeing so guys the mod is dead as it can be.. i have try to find alot of ppl who can do codeing but not help to get. so i can't do anything to make this mod come out any days from now on.. what you saw was testing and i did also release a ealy beta of it but it was bugged alot so for does who want to try feel free to pm me and i can link it to you.. if you know anyone who can do codeing pm me also and we can migt bring this mod alive again..

Is that that animation cfg that allows you go into a blocking stance rather than a lean and a higher blocking factor set(much better than base but nothing like OJP in setup), or did you litterally find a way outside of coop to put the OJP code into single player? If Option 2, how in the world did you do that without the single player SVN released?! That would be amazing.

I wish i could say i had the high knowlage of coding that jrhockney or stoiss have,but my modding skills are still at a basic level,im sure that stoiss already has a animation.cfg with the blocking movement available to him ,however i have managed to make a animation.cfg almost identicle to the ojp/multyplayer movements using the following animations .

the differences of my version is the saber swings and parrys,etc are almost the same style and speed of ojp/moviebattles, but i think an exact same version (as JRHockney quite rightly pointed out) is impossible.Only by manipulating the animation.cfg ,Humanoid_ gla and saber.cfg files will it be possible to make a Similar sabersystem for sp.
i offer my help knowing full well that this will not solve his problem,but maybe will help him in some small way towards aciveing his goal.Using my animation.cfg ,Humanoid .cfg with stoiss coded DLL files will give the ability to block in sp and mp,only the two saber systems(mp and sp)will be ever so slightly different.I have already tried this theory using the ojp DLLS in a solo mp game and sp game and it works to good effect.If my help would still be appreciated then i would be glad to provide my animation.cfg Humanoid GLA so you can try it with your coded DLL files.WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO LOOSE ..if not i wish you all the bst of luck with this problem :)

you animations is on the OJp codes but thats not the one i have done whit my codeig to making the manauel block for the mod.. if you wanna have info or wanna talk whit me PM. me in here mate

Hi, believe it or not, what you described in your (interesting) comment is exactly the way we went! I'm out of development though. Stoiss is continuing the mod under the name "EoC". Just search Youtube. He has also posted a link a few comments below.
