A simple mod for Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour which adds more player colors and possible starting cash to the game, along with other simple edits to bring the user a better experience overall.
Hello everyone!
Sorry for the long wait, but I am ready to mod once again. I want to get straight down to it and list the new changes for my next update.
For the month of June, Colors will be making a tribute to the recently cancelled Red Alert 3: Paradox, a very ambitious mod for Red Alert 3 which I am a fan of an respect deeply.
As a result, here are some changes you'll notice:
U.S. Rangers have had their name changed. They are now known as Defenders. Why, you ask? Well, two reasons, really;
1) The anti-tank/anti-air infantry of the U.S.A. is called the Missile Defender. Which makes no sense unless there's something called a "Defender" somewhere.
2) In the U.S. military, Rangers are NOT frontline grunts. Rangers are special forces!
There will be many more name changes in honor of Paradox.
Different Build Systems:
I want to differentiate the build systems of each faction and it's generals somewhat. I don't know exactly what as of yet, but I plan on giving one of the U.S. generals an "Allied" feel.
Paradox House Colors:
Enough said. Every color planned for Paradox? Done. Music too, since they released it to the public.
But, Crystar, we want new units and structures!
Of course you do. I know that. I have new factions and units planned out, but I won't reveal them as of yet. I'm sure you understand the difficulty of a one-(wo)man modeller/skinner/coder/etc.
Anyway, that's all for now!
Ciao, everyone. ~~~
Another release, another news article. Make sure you download Colors 0.2 and try it for yourselves!
The second release of the Colors mod. Double rainbows. It's beautiful :')
This contains the first release of the mod with a small amount of new colors, and a new option for starting money.
Process has been delayed somewhat by me getting a new computer. I still have to use my old, slow one, to mod as I keep getting a 'Feature Transfer Error' when installing The First Decade. Weird. It'd be appreciated if you know the problem. Thanks.
Update coming in the next few days.
Is there any particular reason why the darker colors only appear correctly on buildings and vehicles?
Yes! Because some infantry have skins that are black in sections, like the Rebel. So, the infantry is something I will work on when trying to match the colors. I assume this occurs with Black, along with Brown, right? That's what I'll take a look at.
You should put this in the Addons section, not Mod section.
I considered that, but I decided against it. It's what's I have in store that made me make that decision.
