In the nineteenth century, an occultist named William Carter discovers gateways to other places in time and space. Reality starts collapsing around him, slowly melting into nameless cosmic horrors. As he tries to understand his visions and find a way to stop them, he will see that he is not the first to make that journey, and that those who came before him brought back to Earth demented things that would have been better left alone.

This mod was fantastic. The level design was exceptional and the placement of the monsters was realistic rather than spontaneous. I loved the final battle as well, for it wasn't too hard but was somewhat challenging. The atmosphere was great and the music perfect. There was a lot of reading, but it was absolutely necessary and very interesting. The thick plot made me not want to stop playing. Great job, I rate this a 9/10
Awesome story, amazingly detailed and unexpected environments, well paced and the atmosphere is intense when it needs to be. It's not the scariest story, but it's well worth your time. :D

Far and away the best level design within a regular cs as well as a solid story and good length and some interesting puzzles but seriously the maps in this are absolutely mind blowing
overall a amazing and super cool mod the only reason I don't give a 10 is because of the lack of scares
Definitely one of the better custom stories I've ever played for amnesia. It's remarkable how much this accomplishes without fully converting. It's level design is clearly had a lot of thought put into it and its very inventive. The story was also great and I loved the soundtrack. The reason this isn't getting 10/10 is because, although the story was great, it was kind of erratic. It felt a little jumpy like I didn't know what was going on. And while not knowing what is going on is a big part of what make Amnesia stories fun to delve into, this one felt just a little strange and under explained. Until I read the suicide note I thought I was character writing these notes. Otherwise though this is a great story and I would recommend it highly to anyone.

A very well done custom story that every avid amnesia player should try !
The only thing that I would have wanted to be,was more hours to spend in this custom story(which seemed quite short for my standards).
