Cold War Crisis (CWC) is a Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour total conversion. It takes place in the 80s, and features infantry, vehicles and aircraft of that era.
Excelent! Hard to believe this was ol' C&C ZH, for it makes me feel like playing a OP version of WiC! Just love how CwC transforms ZH into something MUCH more serious. A lot of attention to detail as well, with outstanding unit voices! Thank you so much for this! Been playing for a year now.
Mods like this makes buying C&C Generals ZH still worthwhile even a decade after the original game. Graphics are comparable to many newer games. Infantry is actually useful for once (unlike most C&C games or mods).

Simply the best mod around.
The amount of work, research, attention to details, and gameplay is carefully combined to make such a masterpiece that is CWC.
It doesn't aim for total realism, but it offers one of the best in-game rendition of realism! It is total coolness factor that made me give them a 10 out of 10.
However the only weakness is their funny voice command. It contains many geeky and nerdy stuffs. You'll hear a unit calling their own catalog specification in game or their real world battle involvement.
But that's all. From air units to land battle, this is the ultimate game that blends them almost perfectly!
Hands down my favorite command and conquer mod ever. Really reminds me of company of heroes a bit, and that is probably one of the biggest reasons why i love it so much. The devs really did an amazing job on this mod been with this mod since it was initially released even played the demo pre release. just wish there was a dedicated discord or something for player matchmaking. Maybe there is that i am unaware. Regardless, the balance is of the game is superb. It has a unique take on turning C&C into something similar to company of heroes blitzkrieg mod, with added "realism" and unique in converting power to fuel for all vehicle operations. The income system is a completely new take in C&C style as you capture flags to gain income. I'd say one of my favorite features of this mod too are just how important infantry are in this. The mod really expands infantry capabilties, and the way this mod utilizes the stealth feature to mimic infantry taking cover and not being exposed out in the open in a battleifeld scenario is a really well balanced mechanic they implemented. This mod is an absolute must especially if one enjoys games like company of heroes (even more so the realism mods Blitzkrieg for coh1 and Spearhead for coh2) and men of war.
